Xiangning County, subordinate to Linfen City, Shanxi Province, is located in the southwest of Shanxi Province and the west of Linfen City, with an area of 2029 square kilometers. In 923, Changning County was changed to Xiangning county because of avoiding the taboo of Zhuang ZongZu. In 1961, Xiang and Ji were separated. In 1971, Jinnan area was divided into Linfen and Yuncheng areas. Xiangning county was subordinate to Linfen area. There are 209 and 309 National roads in Xiangning county and three provincial roads in taixiang, Xiangxiang and yingwan. In March 2019, Xiangning county was listed in the first batch of counties in revolutionary cultural relics protection and utilization area. Xiangning county is located in the middle reaches of the Yellow River, the south end of Luliang Mountain, the southwest of Shanxi Province, and the west of Linfen City.
