Qian'an Qian'an City, a county-level city directly under the central government of Hebei Province, is managed by Tangshan city. It is located in the northeast of Hebei Province, at the south foot of Yanshan Mountain and on the Bank of Luanhe River. It is between 118 ° 37 ′~ 118 ° 55 ′ E and 39 ° 51 ′~ 40 ° 15 ′ n, with a straight-line distance of 45 km and a straight-line distance of 39 km. It faces Lulong County of Qinhuangdao city across Qinglong River in the East, luanzhou city in the south, Qianxi County in the West and Qinglong Manchu Autonomous County of Qinhuangdao City in the north, with a total area of 1227 square kilometers. Tianjin Qinhuangdao high speed railway has a passenger station in Qian'an, namely Luanhe station.
Qian'an has been awarded the titles of national civilized city, National Health City, National Garden City, China's livable city, World Health City, national greening model city, national ecological construction outstanding contribution unit, etc. it is the only county-level city and the first batch of National Smart City pilot units among the first batch of national sponge City pilot units. In October 2019, it will be selected into the top 100 counties and cities with investment potential in 2019 and top 100 counties and cities with new urbanization quality in 2019. Historical evolution
In the Paleolithic and Neolithic times, there were human activities in the territory. Xuanyuan, the capital of Huangdi, was built here.
Shang and Zhou belong to Guzhu state. Yin guzhujun fief (guzhucheng and guzhuguo temple are in the southeast of today's Qian'an city) is the birthplace of Boyi Shuqi (Yiqi abdicates the country).
In the spring and Autumn period, it belonged to Shanrong Lingzhi state (Zhiyin tongqi, lingzhi city in the west of Qian'an city) and Guzhu state. In the 13th year of King Hui of Zhou Dynasty (664 BC), Shanrong ordered Zhi state and Guzhu state to be destroyed by Qi state. After being destroyed, it belonged to Yan state. Duke Huan of Qi led Guan Zhong to fight against Shanrong order branch and Guzhu army in Huangtai mountain and Fulong mountain (now in Qian'an). Idioms and allusions such as Lao Ma Zhi Tu (Guan Zhong follows his horse) and ant nest Zhi Shui all came from this war.
The Warring States period belongs to the state of Yan.
In the 26th year of the reign of the king of Qin (221 BC), Lizhi county was set up, belonging to Liaoxi county.
In the western and Eastern Han Dynasties, lingzhi county was set up, belonging to Liaoxi county. It was the birthplace of the military general and warlord Gongsun Zan at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty. It was one of the heroes at the end of the Han Dynasty.
In the Three Kingdoms, lingzhi county was set up, belonging to Liaoxi county. It is the birthplace of Han Dang, a famous general of the state of Wu. He served as Sun Jian, sun CE, and Sun Quan, the king of Wu. He was an official to general Zhaowu, the champion Taishou, and the Jiadu was appointed as Marquis of Shicheng. He was one of the famous generals of the Three Kingdoms.
In Jin Dynasty, Xianbei people occupied it and abandoned Lingzhi County, which belongs to Liaoxi county. In the sixth year of Taikang (285) of the Western Jin Dynasty, Xianbei single murongshu invaded western Liaoning. Emperor Wu of the Jin Dynasty sent Youzhou army to fight in feiru (now northeast of Qian'an city), and murongshu was defeated.
In 446, the seventh year of Taiping Zhenjun in the Northern Wei Dynasty, Zhi county and Hanzi county were merged into YangLe County, belonging to Liaoxi County of Pingzhou.
The Northern Qi Dynasty belongs to feiru County of Liaoxi county.
Sui Dynasty, successively belongs to feiru County, Xinchang County, Lulong County. In 586, feiru county was merged into Xinchang County, belonging to Xinchang County; in 598, Xinchang County was renamed Lulong County, belonging to Beiping county.
In Tang Dynasty, Beiping county was changed into Pingzhou, which belongs to Lulong County.
In the Five Dynasties and Liao Dynasty, it belonged to Anxi County of Pingzhou. In the second year of tianzan (923) of Liao Dynasty, the captured households were moved from Anxi of Dingzhou and settled in Qianan, which is called Anxi County.
In 1167, Anxi County was renamed Qian'an County, which means "moved from Anxi", belonging to the central capital of Luping Prefecture.
In the early Yuan Dynasty, it was incorporated into Lulong County, and then restored to Qian'an county. It belongs to Pingzhou, Xingping Road, pingluan road and Yongping Road successively. In 1215, it was changed to Xingping mansion. In 1260, Xingping mansion was upgraded to luanzhou road. In 1300, pingluan road was renamed Yongping Road.
In Ming Dynasty, Qian'an county was set up, belonging to Yongping Prefecture of North Zhili Province.
In the Qing Dynasty, Qian'an county was set up, belonging to Yongping Prefecture of Zhili Province.

From 1939 to 1944, the Communist Party of China established fengluanxian County, qianzunxing County, qianluanlu County, qianqingping County, qianluchang County, qianluqing County, qianzunqing County, and luanlu County in Qian'an and its neighboring border areas, which were subordinate to Eastern Hebei and Jire border areas.
In 1945, Qian'an county was restored, belonging to the 16 special districts of Eastern Hebei.
On August 1, 1949, Qian'an County belonged to Tangshan special district of Hebei Province.
On October 1, 1949, after the founding of the people's Republic of China, Qian'an County belonged to Tangshan special district of Hebei Province.
On December 20, 1958, Lulong County and Qianxi County were abolished and part of the two counties were merged into Qian'an county.
On April 2, 1960, Tangshan District was abolished and Qian'an county was put under the jurisdiction of Tangshan city.
On June 23, 1961, Tangshan special area was restored, and Qian'an county still belonged to it; on July 9, Lulong County and Qianxi County were restored, and the former two counties merged into Qian'an County belonged to Lulong County and Qianxi County.
In 1970, Tangshan area was renamed Tangshan area. Qian'an county belongs to Tangshan area.
On May 6, 1983, the repealed area was changed into Tangshan City, and Qian'an county belongs to Tangshan city.
In October 1996, Qian'an county was abolished and Qian'an City (county level) was established. The original administrative region remained unchanged and was directly under the central government of Hebei Province. Tangshan city was authorized by the provincial government to manage Qian'an city.

There are Archean, Proterozoic, Mesozoic and Cenozoic strata exposed in Qian'an city. There are many kinds of rocks in the valleys of low mountains and hills in the north, northwest and West. The main lithology is gneiss, granulite, dolomite, limestone, layered sandstone and calcareous conglomerate. The joints and fissures are developed, the rock mass is broken, and the denudation and weathering are strong.

The terrain of Qian'an city is like a dustpan, high in the northwest and low in the southeast. Luanhe River flows through Qian'an 54 km from guikou and moves across the safe area from northwest to Southeast, with a drainage area of 260 square kilometers. Xisha River is winding in the West and Qinglong River in the East, forming a natural landscape of three rivers in parallel.
