Beilin District Beilin District is the only municipal district of Suihua City in Heilongjiang Province, located in the middle of Heilongjiang Province, between 126 ° 25 ′ - 127 ° 27 ′ E and 46 ° 19 ′ - 47 ° 09 ′ n. Beilin District is the political, economic, cultural, transportation and geographical center of Suihua City. It is an important city in Harbin one hour economic circle.
Historical evolution
Before Qing Dynasty
Beilin District was a place of Sushen before the Zhou Dynasty, and a place of raccoon dog during the Warring States period.
In the Han Dynasty, it was a dirty land, while in the later Han and Three Kingdoms, it was a Fuyu land.
In the Jin Dynasty, it was the territory of Koman khanate, and in the later Wei Dynasty and the Northern Qi Dynasty, it was the doumolou land.
In Sui Dynasty, it belonged to the Department of Heishui, and in Tang Dynasty, it belonged to Beizha.
In the Five Dynasties, it was a territory of Khitan state. In the Jin Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of Huining Prefecture in Shangjing. In the Yuan Dynasty, it was divided into two parts: ochijin and shuidada in Helan Prefecture,
In the Ming Dynasty, it was under the command of nuergandu, and it was under the control of Duoyan, Buyan, Mulan River and other guards.
Qing Dynasty
In the early Qing Dynasty, it was the Ministry of Suolun, and later it was under the jurisdiction of Hulan hall in the year of Heilongjiang general. In 1862 (the first year of Tongzhi in Qing Dynasty), Suihua town was set up in beituanlinzi, which was the beginning of Suihua system. In 1905, the general office of Suihua Council was promoted to Suihua Prefecture, and Cheng Duolu was the first magistrate under the command of suilan Navy.

In 1913, Suihua Prefecture was changed into Suihua county. In 1914, it was attached to suilan road. In 1929, Heilongjiang Province was directly under the central government.
In 1934, it was under the jurisdiction of Binjiang province. In 1939, it was subordinate to the newly established Bei'an province. After the victory of the Anti Japanese war in 1945, it was subordinate to Heilongjiang Province.
In 1946, Suidong county was established. In 1947, Suihua and Suidong counties were under the jurisdiction of heinen province. Suihua county was under the jurisdiction of Heilongjiang Province in 1947.
After the founding of new China
In March 1956, it was put under the jurisdiction of Suihua special region. In August 1958, it was transferred to Songhuajiang district. In June 1965, it was transferred to Suihua district. On December 18, 1982, with the approval of the State Council, Suihua county was abolished and Suihua City, a county-level city, was established. The former administrative region of Suihua county was taken as the administrative region of Suihua City and served as the residence of Suihua regional administrative office. After the establishment of the city, Suihua town and suburban commune were abolished and six sub district offices were set up.
On December 28, 1999, Suihua Prefecture and county level Suihua City were abolished and Suihua City, a prefecture level city, was established. The Municipal People's government is stationed in the newly established Beilin District.
