Yanjin County Yanjin County is subordinate to Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province. It is located in the northeast of Yunnan Province, between 103 ˝ 59 ′ 18 ˝ e ~ 104 ˝ 27 ′ 50 ˝ and 27 ˝ 49 ′ 11 ˝ N ~ 28 ˝ 24 ′ 38 ˝.
It was named for having salt wells to produce salt and setting up ferries to pass the flood season. It was the residence of Bo people in ancient times. The Xia, Shang and Zhou dynasties belonged to Liangzhou region, and later changed its membership. In 587 ad, kaibian county was established as the seat of today's market town of Tantou township. In 1727, the land was changed to flow, and Yanjin belonged to daguanting of Wumeng Prefecture. In 1917, the county was officially established and named Yanjin.
In Yanjin County, there are ruins such as wuchidao of qinkai, cliff of Yuanzi of Tang Dynasty, hanging coffin of Bo people and ancient castle. It is rich in medicinal materials, orchids, and black bone chicken has high medicinal value. Rich in limestone, anthracite and water resources, it is a mountainous county to be developed.
On May 17, 2020, Yanjin County will withdraw from the sequence of poverty-stricken counties.
Historical evolution
Yanjin was the residence of Bo people in ancient times. Xia, Shang and Zhou dynasties belong to Liangzhou.
Qin is the land of Shu.
Jianyuan six years of the Western Han Dynasty (135 BC), is Qianwei county. In the first year of Yongchu in the Eastern Han Dynasty (107), it belonged to Qianwei. In the 19th year of Jian'an in the Eastern Han Dynasty (214), it belonged to Zhuti county.
In the first seven years of Qin Dynasty (271), it belonged to Zhuti County of ningzhou, and in the first year of Jianwu of Eastern Jin Dynasty (317), it belonged to Nanguang County of ningzhou.
Sui kaihuang six years (586), is a kaibian County, located in the beach.
Tang Wude first year (618), belongs to Xiezhou, Tang Zhenyuan ten years (794), Nanzhao attached, set up Yunnan pacification department, under the jurisdiction of Tuodong Jiedu.
In Song Dynasty, Yanjin belonged to Shimen road of Jimo state in Zizhou Road (later changed to Shimen road of Jimo state in chengzhoufu Road).
In the 15th year of the Yuan Dynasty (1278), it belonged to the military and civilian government of Wumeng. In the 24th year of the Yuan Dynasty (1287), it belonged to the tuliao department under the jurisdiction of the Xuanwei Department of WUSA and Wumeng.
In the 15th year of Hongwu (1382) of Ming Dynasty, it belonged to Wumeng Prefecture, Sichuan Province, and in the 7th year of Tianqi (1627), it belonged to Mahu Prefecture.
In the fifth year of Yongzheng reign (1727) of Qing Dynasty, Wumeng Prefecture was changed to Yunnan Province, and Yanjin Prefecture was changed to Wumeng Prefecture of Yunnan Province. In 1728, there was daguanting in Wumeng Prefecture, inspection department in yanjingdu Prefecture, and daguanting in Yanjin Prefecture.
In 1913, daguanting was changed to daguanxian, and Yanjin was subordinate to daguanxian.
In 1917, it was separated from Daguan county and established Yanjin County.
In July 1950, the whole territory of Yanjin was liberated.
In April 1958, Yanjin and Daguan counties merged into Daguan county.
On April 28, 1961, Yanjin and Daguan counties were divided.
On May 17, 2020, it will officially withdraw from the poverty-stricken counties.

In 1917, 14 townships north of Lishan in Daguan county were assigned to Yanjin County.
In February 1953, Luoyan was added as the Sixth District.
In March 1954, Yanjing street and Pu'er street were changed into two towns.
In April 1955, Luoyan district was abolished and niuzhai was newly established as the Sixth District.
In January 1956, the eighth district under the jurisdiction of Yiliang County (now miaoba) was assigned to Yanjin County as the seventh district.
In 1958, Yanjin County was divided into 9 people's communes and 61 administrative areas.
In April 1961, Dousha and persimmon in Daguan county were included in Yanjin County.
On September 21, 1981, Liangwan district was assigned to Shuifu county.
In March 1982, Pu'er commune set up three brigades, Tianxing, Longtang and Luoyan. In April, Chengguan town was changed into Yanjing town.
In 1984, Gonghe district was set up in Xinglong district and Baolong district was set up in niuzhai district.
In 1988, the city was merged into Yanjing town. Chuansi, jianba and Longtai townships were set up in Pu'er district. Zhonghe, Zhongbao and Zhaoxi were set up in aitian Township, DAHAO in Pu'er district and Tianning in Dousha district.
On March 6, 1995, the paddy field office of Yanjing town assigned Dawu, Wafang and Yangou cooperatives to set up huanggecao Office (New District of the county), which is subordinate to Yanjing town.
In August 2002, Dousha was abolished and Dousha town was established.
In the sixth year of the Republic of China, the county had jurisdiction over 14 townships, 52 Dajia and 219 natural villages.
In 1932, 14 townships and 52 townships were divided into 7 districts, 40 townships and 3 towns.
In 1941, it was divided into three towns, six townships, 117 Baojia and 1163 Baojia.
In July 1950, the whole territory of Yanjin was liberated, and the three towns and six townships in the Republic of China were changed into five District People's governments, with Baojia under its jurisdiction unchanged.

Yanjin is located in the northeast of Yunnan Province. It is between 103 ′ 59 ′ 18 ˝ e ~ 104 ′ 27 ′ 50 ˝ and 27 ′ 49 ′ 11 ˝ N ~ 28 ′ 24 ′ 38 ˝ e, with east-west longitude difference of 28 ′ 32 ˝ and North-South latitude difference of 35 ′ 27 ˝. Located at the junction of Yunnan and Sichuan in Northeast Yunnan, it is located in the middle of Zhaotong and Yibin. It borders Junlian, Gaoxian and Yibin in Northeast Sichuan, Yiliang in South Yunnan, Daguan, Yongshan and Suijiang in West Yunnan, and Shuifu in North. The county is long and narrow in North and south, narrow in East and West, with the maximum longitudinal distance of 62.5 km and maximum transverse distance of 46 km. The total area is 2091 square kilometers.

Yanjin is located in the northern slope of Wumeng Mountain in the Northeast plateau of Dianchi Lake, which is high in the southwest and low in the northeast. The mountain range in the county belongs to the northern branch of Wumeng Mountain range, bounded by Guanhe River, which can be divided into two major mountain ranges, Hedong and Hexi.
The eastern chaotianma mountain ranges from the south of Liuliu village, miaoba Township, Yiliang County to the west through miaoba Township and Shizi township. There are 12 famous peaks in the area. The chaotianma branch passes through Woniushan mountain range in Junlian County, Sichuan Province to Dadongshan mountain in niuzhai Township, which is further divided into two branches: one to the northeast, the other to the northwest through xinglonggaiding mountain and an umbrella.
In the west, the northern branch of Wumeng Mountain passes through Zhaotong and Daguan and enters Dousha township. A peak rises in the county, named Dali mountain. It bends down the Guanhe River from Dali Mountain Branch, passes through Xiaojia mountain, Huashan Mountain, Dongguashan mountain and Longbu mountain in aitian Township, dabaoding Dafan mountain and daxuecao mountain in Zhonghe Township, Jigou mountain in Pu'er Town, Pingtou mountain in Tantou Township, and ends at Langba mountain in Shuifu county.
In addition, the Chaotian Mashan system from Yiliang County extends from east to West in miaoba township to jiugebao peak in the south. The highest in Zhonghe county is daxuecaoliangzi, with an altitude of 2263 meters. The lowest is the oil factory in Beijia village, Tantou Township, with an altitude of 330 meters, a relative elevation difference of 1933 meters and an average altitude of 1160 meters.
