Evolution of organizational system
The origin of the name
The word "new Wu" has two meanings: one is to represent Wuxi high tech Zone to achieve a new leap at a new starting point; the other is to contain the meaning of continuous innovation and development on the basis of inheriting the ancient Wu; the word "Wu" is used to commemorate the "Gouwu" state established by Taibo in Meili (today's Meicun area in Wuxi) at the end of the Shang Dynasty. Choosing "Xinwu" as the name of the newly established district is conducive to carrying forward the Wu cultural spirit of "advocating morality, valuing culture, being pragmatic and innovative", implying that the newly established district will create new and greater brilliance at a new starting point.
