Renhuai, located in the northwest of Guizhou Province, is located in Zunyi City, the middle reaches of Chishui River and the north side of the western section of Dalou mountains. It is a typical mountainous area in the transition from Yunnan Guizhou Plateau to Sichuan Basin. It is the connecting point between Northern Guizhou Economic Zone and southern Sichuan economic zone. Historical evolution
Renhuai as early as the Shang and Zhou dynasties, there were human beings living here.
In 1109 ad, Renhuai County, located in Fuxing Town, Chishui City, belongs to Zizhou. In the third year of Xuanhe, the county was demoted to Fort, belonging to Luzhou county.
In Yuan Dynasty, Huaiyang county was set up, Renhuai chief court and GuZi chief court were set up, all of which belong to Bozhou pacification department.
In the 14th year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty, it was changed into the jurisdiction of Renhuai county (the county seat is located in today's Chishui City), belonging to Zunyi Prefecture of Sichuan Province.
In the fifth year of Yongzheng reign of Qing Dynasty (1727), it was changed into the Chief Secretary of Guizhou along with the government.
In the 8th year of Yongzheng reign, the county was transferred to tingziba (today's Renhuai City). In the 11th year, Du Quan, the county magistrate, received a sum of 15000 82 yuan to build the city. In the 13th year, the new city was built.
In the third year of Qianlong reign, Renhuai county was changed into Zunyi sub Prefecture. At the same time, Renhuai, Hexi and Tucheng three li were under the general management of Zunyi Prefecture. Renhuai and Zunyi were formally integrated.
In the 13th year of Qianlong reign, it was changed into Renhuai hall, under the management of Zunyi Prefecture.
In 1949, Renhuai was liberated and Renhuai county was set up. The county seat is located in Zhongzhong Town, belonging to Zunyi district.
On November 30, 1995, with the approval of the State Council, Renhuai county was abolished and Renhuai City at the county level was established under the jurisdiction of Zunyi Prefecture.
In June 1997, the State Council approved the abolition of Zunyi Prefecture and county-level Zunyi City and the establishment of prefecture level Zunyi City. Renhuai City was changed into a province directly under the central government.
At the end of 1997, Guizhou Provincial People's government entrusted Zunyi City to take charge of Renhuai City at the county level. Since then, Renhuai City has gradually become a sub central city in northern Guizhou.
On July 1, 2013, Guizhou provincial government decided to change Renhuai City at the county level to be directly under the provincial government (deputy department level), giving autonomous economic rights. Its administrative organs, people's Congress, etc. are still set up according to the county-level city, and the administrative region is not separated from Zunyi city.
From July 1, 2019, Renhuai City will be under the direct management of the province and will be under the management of Zunyi City.

The central urban area is composed of three streets: Central, Yanjin and Canglong. It is the political, economic and cultural center of the national liquor city. Changgang Town: located in the southernmost end of Renhuai City, at the junction of Zunren, with an altitude of 1200 meters and an area of 115 square kilometers. Coal reserves, natural grassland more than 2000 mu. Tourism resources include Mao Zedong's residence during the Long March, Mao Zedong Memorial Pavilion, Red Army Hospital, Madian conference site and karst cave community.
Tan Factory Street: an area of 117 square kilometers, it is the demonstration base of the ecological agriculture sorghum in the city, and has been planned as a supporting industrial park for the Baijiu industry. Tourism resources include Huaiyang cave and hot spring.
