Alashan Right Banner belongs to Alashan League of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It is located in the west of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, at the north foot of Longshou mountain and Heli mountain fold belt. In 2015, the GDP of Alxa Right Banner reached 2.752 billion yuan, an increase of 7.3% over 2014. On July 27, 2018, with the approval of the people's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, he withdrew from poverty banner.

Evolution of organizational system

In ancient times, it was the territory of Yu Gongyong. In the spring and Autumn period, it belonged to Qin. In the first emperor of Qin, it belonged to Beidi county. In the Han Dynasty, it belonged to Beidi County, Wuwei County and Zhangye county. In the Jin Dynasty, it was occupied by Qianliang County, Houliang county and Beiliang county. In the Tang Dynasty, it belonged to Hexi Jiedushi. In the Song Dynasty, Jingde entered Xixia. In the Yuan Dynasty, it belonged to xingzhongshu province of Gansu Province. In the early Ming Dynasty, Yongle was the western fanla area. In the Kangxi period, Heshuote Department moved there. According to the example of 49 banners in Inner Mongolia, the Department of Alashan Heshuote was organized as Alashan Heshuote banner by the Qing Dynasty. Alashan banner was built from this and was stationed in dingyuanying (now BAYANHOT). It was under the jurisdiction of the Mongolian Tibetan Committee in the Republic of China.

In September 1949, Alashan banner was peacefully liberated and the people's Government of Heshuote banner was established under the jurisdiction of Ningxia Province.

In April 1954, it was renamed Ningxia Mongolian Autonomous Region. In September of the same year, the organizational system of Ningxia Province was abolished and merged into Gansu Province, which was renamed Gansu Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture.

In 1955, it was renamed BAYANHOT Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture of Gansu Province.

In April 1956, Bayannaoer League was established, under the jurisdiction of Alashan banner, Ejina Banner, Dengkou county and BAYANHOT City, under the jurisdiction of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

In August 1960, the western region Working Committee of Alxa banner was established to prepare for the establishment of Alxa Right Banner under the leadership of Bayannaoer League and Alxa banner.

On April 22, 1961, the 110th plenary session of the State Council adopted the "decision on the establishment of Alashan Left Banner and Alashan Right Banner and the revocation of Alashan banner". On May 25 of the same year, the western region Working Committee of Alxa banner was abolished and Alxa Right Banner was established, stationed in Huhe Dabusu (the former site of today's Yabulai salt farm).

In September 1965, the flag was moved to ekenhuduge.

In July 1969, it was under the jurisdiction of Wuwei District, Gansu Province.

In July 1979, it was returned to the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

In November 1979, the town of ekenhuduge was founded, and the place name of Qifu was still used.

In April 1980, Alxa League was established, and Alxa Right Banner was under the jurisdiction of Alxa League.

In 2006, the original nine Sumu towns in Ayouqi were adjusted and merged into five towns.

On May 24, 2011, ekenhuduge Town, the seat of ayou banner, was renamed Badain Jaran town.
