Yunmeng County, subordinate to Xiaogan City, Hubei Province, is an important part of Wuhan city circle. Yunmeng got its name from water. It was established in Yunmeng County in the 16th year of the Western Wei Dynasty (550). History of construction

In ancient times, it was the city of Jingzhou.

In the 16th year of the Western Wei Dynasty (550), Yunmeng County was set up in the south of Anlu county. The county government was located in Yunmeng city (including the "King City of Chu" in the east of Chengguan).

In 1069, yunmengwei town was incorporated into Anlu County, and in 1086, Yunmeng County was established.

In the first year of Xuanhe of Song Dynasty (1119), Dean Prefecture was upgraded to Dean Prefecture, and Yunmeng County was subordinate to Dean Prefecture.

In 1643, Li Zicheng's uprising Army established political power in Hubei Province and changed Yunmeng County into Guzhou.

In 1645, Yunmeng County was established.

In the Republic of China, Yunmeng County was established as Jianghan Road in Hubei Province.

In 1926, Jianghan Road was abolished and Zhili was established in the province.

In 1932, there were 11 administrative supervision districts in Hubei Province, and Yunmeng County was the Fifth District.

In April 1948, Yunxiao County was established under the central Hubei special office of Jianghan District, the liberated area of the Central Plains.

In June 1949, Yunxiao County was renamed Yunmeng County, and was divided into Xiaogan administrative region of Hubei Province.

In November 1959, Xiaogan district was incorporated into Wuhan City, where the city was in charge of the county.

In August 1960, Yunmeng County was merged into Anlu county.

In May 1961, Xiaogan district was restored.

In December 1961, Yunmeng County resumed its organizational system.

In 1970, Xiaogan area was renamed Xiaogan area.

In the winter of 1949, the villages of wangjiazhaihe, Guanyin Township in the north of Yunmeng County were assigned to Ziwen Township in Anlu county. The villages of Zhou, Zhang, Chen and Xia in Ziwen township of Anlu county are included in Guanyin Township of Yunmeng County. Gaodian and Yonghe 2 Bao in the West Bank of Fu River in the north of Yunmeng County belong to Anlu county. Zhangcun, hujiaxiangzi, Zhouzhai and Hebian, which are to the south of Chengou on the East Bank of Fuhe River, are divided into Yunmeng County from Anlu county.

In June 1950, caijiayuan area on the North Bank of Fuhe River in Hanchuan county and Taihe, diuxin, Zhongle, Sanhe, Hefeng, Houhu and gaochangyuan were included in Yunmeng County. Duzheng township (covering an area of 18 square kilometers) from huzitan to geputan on the West Bank of Fu River in Yunmeng county is included in Yingcheng county.

In 1954, xiaojiabeiyuan, pengjiatai, Xihu village, Donghu village, zhangjiatai and liujiatai in Changmeng Township were included in Xiaogan county.

In November 1955, xiaojiabeiyuan, pengjiatai, Xihu village, Donghu village, zhangjiatai and Liujia were designated back to Yunmeng County. Liujiage town in Hanchuan county is under Yunmeng County, and liujiao and Doukou villages in Xinfu township of Yunmeng County are under Xiaogan county.

By June 2020, Yunmeng County has jurisdiction over 9 towns and 3 townships: Chengguan Town, Yitang Town, Zengdian Town, Wupu Town, Wuluo Town, xiaxindian Town, Daoqiao Town, geputan Town, hujindian Town, daodian Town, Shahe Town and qingminghe town. There are 24 neighborhood committees and 270 village committees. The county government is located at No. 1 Quyang Road, Chengguan town.
