Changping District, subordinate to Beijing, is located in the northwest of Beijing. The origin of place names
Changping County has been established since the Western Han Dynasty. There is a saying that its name comes from the Marquis of Changping, the nobility of the Han Dynasty. It means prosperity and peace. The specific location is probably in the south of Juyongguan.
History of construction
More than 6000 years ago, our ancestors lived in Xueshan, Nankou and other places in Changping.
In the Western Han Dynasty, the first year of Emperor Wu of Han Dynasty (110 BC), Changping and Jundu were set up in the county.
During the Three Kingdoms period, the state of Wei, the Western Jin Dynasty and the Eastern Jin Dynasty, the two counties belonged to Youzhou.
In the Northern Dynasty and the Northern Wei Dynasty, the provincial capital of Changping entered the military capital; in the Eastern Wei Dynasty, the provincial capital of Changping entered the military capital.
In the late Tang Dynasty, Changping was renamed Yanping, and in the later Jin Dynasty, Changping was renamed Changping County.

In the first year of Zhengde (1506), it was promoted to changpingzhou (governing Huairou, Miyun and Shunyi counties), and became an important capital town in the Ming Dynasty.
