Historical evolution
Boli County is named after Boli river. Boli, in Manchu, means "happiness and auspiciousness". In the Qing Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of three surnames and vice capitals. In the Tang Dynasty, Boli Prefecture was set up under Heishui Prefecture. In the Liao Dynasty, Boli Prefecture belonged to the five kingdoms of shengnuzhen. According to textual research, Boli Prefecture in the Tang Dynasty was one of the five kingdoms of the Liao Dynasty. It should be located in the area of Boli in the present Soviet Union.
In the early Qing Dynasty, it was the land of Hetun gashan. The places with three surnames were divided into Huangli and huangwai. At that time, this place belonged to huangwai. In the 33rd year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu, the county government was proposed, but it did not come true.
In the third year of the Republic of China, after the on-the-spot investigation, officials separated the southeast area of Yilan County and set up the Administration Bureau at four stations.
In the sixth year of the Republic of China, the administrative bureau was changed to Boli County, under the jurisdiction of Yilan Road, Jilin Province.
In the 18th year of the Republic of China, after the establishment of the Northeast government affairs committee, the Dao system was abolished, the county was directly under the jurisdiction of the province, and Boli County was directly under the jurisdiction of Jilin Province.
In December 1934, the puppet Manchukuo changed to monarchy, implemented the reform of local administrative organs, and established the Sanjiang provincial office. Boli County was under the jurisdiction of Sanjiang province from Jilin Province.
In June 1940, the western part of the county was classified as Linkou county.
On October 10, 1944, Dongman province and Xing'an province were set up. At the same time, Boli County was put under the jurisdiction of Dongman province from Sanjiang province.
In 1945, Northeast China recovered.
On June 5, the Republic of China announced the northeast new province plan, which merged the puppet province into nine provinces, and Boli County was under the jurisdiction of Hejiang province. After the liberation of the whole country, the three northeast provinces were restored. Boli County belongs to Heilongjiang Province.
In 1970, Qitaihe City was set up by Boli County.
On June 2, 1909, the governor of Jilin Province decided to add Boli County in the east of Yilan Prefecture, which was listed as "temporary suspension".
Approved on May 10, 1917, Boli County was established. On September 16 of the same year, the Committee of the establishment and administration of the people's Republic of China opened the customs and Defense Office. The county is located at the fourth station, and is designated as a third-class County under the jurisdiction of Yilan road.

In May 1949, Hejiang province was abolished and changed to Songjiang province.
In August 1954, the two provinces were merged and put under the jurisdiction of Hejiang special region.
On January 22, 1957, the provincial people's Committee announced that the three townships of Xingnong, pinganhe and hadalazi in Jixi County were put under the jurisdiction of Boli County.
On January 1, 1965, Xingnong commune was put under the jurisdiction of Jidong county. On February 2 of the same year, with the approval of the State Council, Qitaihe town was set up as a special zone. It belongs to Hejiang district.
In February 1966, the state-owned Xingbei farm in Mishan county was put under the jurisdiction of Boli County. In September of the same year, qiezi River and Zhongxin River communes were put under the jurisdiction of Qitaihe special economic zone.
