Rong County Rong County, known as Rong Zhou in ancient times, is a county under the jurisdiction of Yulin City in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It is located in the southeast of Guangxi and the east of Yulin city. Historical evolution
In the Qin Dynasty, Rong County was divided into Xiang county and Guilin county. Xiang county was governed by Linchen County, that is, Chongzuo city.
At the beginning of the Han Dynasty, the present situation belongs to Nanyue. In the sixth year of Yuanding (111 BC), it belonged to Hepu County of Hepu County (the county government was in the old state of today's Pubei County).
In the Three Kingdoms, the territory belongs to Wu, which is Hepu County of Jiaozhou and Zhangping County of Cangwu.
In the period of Taikang and Taixi in the Western Jin Dynasty (280-290), the northeast part of Hepu County was set as Dangchang County, which was subordinate to Hepu County of Jiaozhou. Most of Rongxian's territory belongs to Dangchang County, which is located in the urban area of Rongxian. Therefore, the establishment of Dangchang County in the Western Jin Dynasty was the beginning of Rong County.
In the first years of the Song Dynasty (465-471), Jiaozhou was changed into Yuezhou, and then it belonged to Yuezhou.
In the Southern Dynasty, Dangchang county was changed into Yinshi County in the fourth year of Liang Dynasty (523), and Yinshi county was set up, which belongs to Shizhou (the state governance is in today's Teng County). The county governance was set up in Yinshi County, which is the beginning of Rong County.
In the Sui Dynasty, Yinshi county was abolished in 589 and changed to Fenghua county. In 595, Zhangping county was changed into Anren County. Kaihuang eighteen years (598), Anren County to Ningren county. In the 19th year of kaihuang (599), Fenghua county was renamed Puning County, which was subordinate to Yongping County of Yangzhou.
In the Tang Dynasty, in 621, Beiliu County of Hepu County and Puning County of Yongping County were set up as Tongzhou. From Beiliu County, Dangchang county (now in the southwest of Rong County) and Xin'an County (now in the west of Rong County) were set up. From Puning County, Weilong county (now in the southwest of Rong County) was set up. Shortly after its establishment, Dangchang county was divided into Puning county and Weilong county. In the first year of Zhenguan (627), Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty ordered the counties to be named after the famous mountains and rivers. There was a famous mountain Darong mountain in Tongzhou. Because TongZhou was changed to Rongzhou, Puning County of Rongzhou was set up at this time. In 637, Xin'an County was divided into Weilong county and Puning county. In the 23rd year of Zhenguan (649), Ningren County, formerly under Tengzhou, was renamed Xindao county and put under Rongzhou's jurisdiction. At this time, Rongzhou led six counties, including Puning, Beiliu, Lingcheng, Weilong, Xindao and Luchuan. During the Kaiyuan period (713-741), Rongzhou was upgraded to dudufu, and Beiliu County under Rongzhou was moved to the southwest 60 Li. Since then, Beiliu County, Puning county and Weilong county have been completely separated.
In the 21th year of Kaiyuan (733), Rongzhou was set up as an internal administrator, with more than 60 counties in 14 prefectures. Puning county (most of today's Rongxian county), Weilong county and Xindao county (most of which are in today's Rongxian county) all belong to Rongzhou. During the reign of Yuanhe (806-820), Rongzhou and Puning county were moved from Beiliu county to Puning county. This is the beginning of Rongxian's becoming a state government, and it became a political and military important town in southern Xinjiang of China.
In the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms, Rong county belongs to Puning, Weilong and Xindao counties, and is subordinate to the Ningyuan army of Rongzhou.
In the Song Dynasty, Xindao county and Weilong county were abolished in the fifth year of Kaibao (972), and their land was merged into Puning county. Rongzhou road was set up in 1053, and Rongguan was set up again in 1127-1130. Puning county was the site of the road and administrative office.
In the Yuan Dynasty, Rongzhou led Puning, Beiliu and Luchuan counties.
In the Ming Dynasty, Puning county was abolished in the second year of Hongwu (1369), and its land was incorporated into Rongzhou. In May of 1377, Rongzhou was changed into Rongxian County, which was subordinate to Wuzhou Prefecture (the government was in Wuzhou City). Since then, the name of Rong county has been used.
In the Qing Dynasty, Rong County was still subordinate to Wuzhou Prefecture.
In 1912, Rong County belonged to Wuzhou Prefecture of Guangxi Province. Two years (1913) belong to Yujiang road. Three years (1914) belong to Cangwu Road. Fifteen years (1926) after the abolition of the road, it belongs to the office of Cangwu administrative inspector (above the government, road, will be in Wuzhou City). Nineteen years (1930) belongs to the Xilin militia district (the district government is located in today's Yulin City). Twenty one years (1932) belongs to Wuzhou district. Twenty three years (1934) belongs to Wuzhou administrative supervision area. Since 1940, it has been the third administrative supervision district (all the above districts are located in today's Wuzhou City).
On November 28, 1949, Rong County belonged to Wuzhou District of Guangxi Province. In July 1951, it belonged to Rong County. In July 1958, it belongs to Yulin special area. In November 1971, it belongs to Yulin area. In April 1997, it belongs to Yulin city.

In June 2005, Rongcheng town and Rongxiang town of Rongxian county were abolished. Rongzhou town of Rongxian county is established with the jurisdiction of Rongcheng town and Rongxiang town as the administrative division.
