Zhongjiang County, subordinate to Deyang City, Sichuan Province, is a large agricultural county in the western hilly area of central Sichuan. It is named after the ancient water (now Luojiang River). Zhongjiang is located in the northwest of Sichuan Basin, adjacent to Chengdu in the west, Mianyang in the north and Suining in the south. Evolution of organizational system
From the 26th century to 301 BC, during the period of three emperors and five emperors, Zhongjiang belonged to Shanshi and was under the jurisdiction of Liangzhou. According to the records of the five emperors in historical records, "the Yellow Emperor granted his second son Changyi and descended to live in Ruoshui. Later, he married a woman of the Shan family and called her Changfu, and gave birth to the Gaoyang family of Zhuan Xu, the emperor. Since it was established, it was named Shu state because it was granted the title of "Shu state".
From 300 BC to 202 BC, in the Qin Dynasty, Shu Kingdom was abolished and the system of prefectures and counties was implemented. Zhongjiang County was built in 300 BC and lasted for 99 years.
From 201 B.C. to 431 A.D., in the Han Dynasty, the Three Kingdoms, the Jin Dynasty and the early period of the northern and Southern Dynasties, Zhongjiang was a wife county and Wucheng County, which was under the jurisdiction of Guanghan County in 632. In 201 BC, Zhongjiang began to build wife County, which is near qianzifen in Santai County. In 278 ad, Wucheng county was first built. The county seat is now dongshanba. In the south of the Yangtze River is wife County, and in the north is Wucheng county.
From 432 to 582, in the late period of the northern and Southern Dynasties, Zhongjiang was co-exist for Wucheng County, wife county and Huaigui County, which was under the jurisdiction of Xuanwu County for 150 years. In 432 ad, Xuanwu county was built in Zhongjiang, and its city is now Xuanwu dam. In the same year, Huaigui county was established in Zhongjiang, and the county seat is near the present jiexinglongpo. In 437 A.D., Huaigui county was abolished and Wucheng county was established. So far, Huaigui County lasted for five years.
From 583 to 678, during the Sui Dynasty, Xuanwu county and feiwu County coexisted in Zhongjiang. In 583 ad, Xuanwu county and Wucheng county were changed into Xuanwu county. So far, Wucheng County lasted 305 years. In 593 ad, feiwu county was built in the south of abandoned wife county. The county is located in feiwu dam, about three li north of today's Cangshan town. So far, wife County lasted 794 years. In 602 ad, Kaizhou was established in Xuanwu County, which lasted 140 years. Kaizhou governs Xuanwu County, Mianzhu County, Jinshui county and feiwu county.
From 679 to 1011, Xuanwu County, feiwu county and Tongshan County coexisted in Zhongjiang in Tang Dynasty and early Song Dynasty. In 679 ad, Tongshan County was established. The county seat is now the seat of Guangfu town middle school. Because of the local copper, the county is located at the foot of Tongshan and named. In 742 ad, Xuanwu County, feiwu county and Tongshan County were changed to Zitong County of Zizhou (now Santai County of Sichuan Province), which lasted 218 years. In 960 ad, the three counties were changed to Tongchuan prefecture (now Santai), which lasted 416 years.
From 1012 to 1278, in the late Song Dynasty, Zhongjiang County, feiwu county and Tongshan County coexisted. In 1012 ad, Xuanwu county was changed to Zhongjiang County. The reason is that the word "Xuanwu" is taboo. As far as its geographical location is concerned, it is named after water. The river flows through the middle of the county. Jiangdong is in the city and Jiangxi is Tanjia street. This river was once called Zhongjiang in ancient times, and Kaijiang since Qing Dynasty. It flows from Anxian and Luojiang to Zhongjiang County, and then to Santai County to Fujiang. Zhongjiang river is located in the middle of Tuojiang River and Fujiang River system, so it is called Zhongjiang river. So far, Xuanwu County lasted 429 years. Zhongjiang County, feiwu county and Tongshan County are still under the jurisdiction of Tongchuan Prefecture.
From 1279 to 1375, during the Yuan Dynasty, feiwu county and Tongshan County were unified into Zhongjiang County. In 1279 ad, feiwu county was abandoned into Tongshan County, which lasted 686 years. In 1283, Tongshan County was abandoned into Zhongjiang County, which lasted 604 years. After the unification of the three counties, Zhongjiang County is still under the jurisdiction of Tongchuan Prefecture, Guangyuan Road, Sichuan North Road.
From 1376 to 1934, during the Ming and Qing Dynasties and the early Republic of China, Zhongjiang County was under the jurisdiction of Tongchuan Prefecture. In 1376 A.D., Tongchuan Prefecture was changed to Tongchuan Prefecture, which governed Zhongjiang County in 558.
From 1935 to 1957, in the late period of the Republic of China and the early period of the people's Republic of China, Zhongjiang County was under the jurisdiction of Suining special office.
In 1935, Suining special office of northern Sichuan administrative office, the 12th administrative supervision district of Sichuan Province, was established, and Zhongjiang County was under its jurisdiction for 23 years.
From 1958 to 1982, during the period of the people's Republic of China, Zhongjiang County was under the jurisdiction of Mianyang.

In 1986, there were 12 districts, 89 townships and 3 towns under the jurisdiction of the county; 1 county town: Chengguan town; 2 district towns: Longtai town and Cangshan town.
In July 1996, with the approval of document No.24 [1996] of Sichuan provincial government, 12 district offices were officially abolished, and the original towns and townships in the county were merged into 21 townships and 26 towns. In addition, four working committees of Cangshan, Longtai, Kaijiang and Nanhua have been set up to take charge of the villages and towns in the area.
In November 2001, with the approval of Sichuan Provincial People's government, five new towns, namely Nijin, Jiexing, Nanshan, Zhongxing and Nandu, and four townships, namely Shimiao, Hexing, Bailin and Baota, were built, and the administrative areas of six new towns were adjusted.
In May 2002, a new northeast town was built in the former Dongshan and Beishan townships.
