Keqiao District, a municipal district of Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province, is located in the east of Zhejiang Province and the northwest of Shaoxing City, with Kuaiji mountain in the South and Qiantang River in the north. It is adjacent to Shangyu district and Yuecheng District in the East, Shengzhou City and Zhuji City in the south, Xiaoshan District of Hangzhou City in the west, and Haining City of Jiaxing City across Qiantang River in the north. The total land area is 1067.69 square kilometers.
After the adjustment of administrative divisions in November 2019, the district has jurisdiction over 11 streets and 5 towns. By the end of 2018, the resident population was 986 thousand and 200, and the registered residence population was 681 thousand and 300. According to the preliminary calculation, the regional GDP of the whole region will reach 140.455 billion yuan in 2018, an increase of 6.8% at comparable prices. The per capita GDP was 207307 yuan, an increase of 5.2%. The total fiscal revenue of the whole year was 19.858 billion yuan, an increase of 9.7%.
Keqiao District, known as "Venice of the East", is a famous town of water, bridge, wine, calligraphy, opera and celebrities in China. Hangzhou Ningbo railway, Hangzhou Ningbo passenger dedicated line, Hangzhou Ningbo Expressway, Hangzhou Jinqu expressway, Shaoxing Zhuzhou expressway, 104 National Highway, 329 provincial highway and Hangzhou Ningbo canal pass through the territory. China Textile City, the largest cloth distribution center in Asia, has been ranked among the top ten in the basic competitiveness of county economy in China for many years, and has been awarded the title of "China's top ten demonstration counties of well-off society in an all-round way" for many times.
In September 2018, it won the 28th place in China's top 100 districts in 2018. In October 2018, it was selected as one of the top 100 science and technology innovation zones and top 100 green development zones in 2018. In November 2018, it was selected into the 2018 national "happy 100 counties list" and the 2018 top 100 industrial districts. In October 2019, it will be selected as one of the top 100 comprehensive strength districts in China in 2019. In October 2019, it was rated as one of the top 100 national green development zones in 2019 and one of the top 100 national science and technology innovation zones in 2019. In November 2020, it will be selected into the list of the first batch of model counties (cities and districts) of deepening the reform of small reservoir management system by the Ministry of water resources.
Historical evolution
Shaoxing was established as Kuaiji Prefecture in the Qin and Han Dynasties. In the Tang Dynasty, Shaoxing was called Yuezhou. In the Song Dynasty, Zhao goushengxing was the capital of Shaoxing. This is the origin of the name of Shaoxing.
Shaoxing has a long history. In the Neolithic age, human beings have been living and reproducing in the territory. Ma'anshan, Hupingshan and many other sites inhabited by the Yue people, about 4000-5000 years ago.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Shaoxing County was directly under the provincial government.
Shaoxing administrative supervision district was established in June of 1935, and the third administrative supervision district was established in April of the next year.
In April 1943, it was renamed the second administrative supervision district, a district of Shaoxing County.
In October 1949, Shaoxing City was changed into Shaoxing City (county level). Shaoxing Municipal People's government was established. On the 7th, the eastern part of Shaoxing County was set up as Kuaiji county. Shaoxing County is located in Keqiao Town, which has jurisdiction over five districts, namely suburb, Keqiao, Qixian, evolution and Lizhu. Kuaiji county is located in Gaobu, with jurisdiction over Gaobu, Donghu, Dongguan, Tangpu, Mashan and Vietnam.
In March 1950, Qianqing and Dongpu districts were set up in Shaoxing County. On May 9, Shaoxing County, Shaoxing City (county level) and Kuaiji County merged into Shaoxing County. The urban area is called the urban area, and the county governs 17 districts, 10 towns and 199 townships. Shaoxing City (county level) was restored. On the 27th, the provincial people's Government classified Shaoxing County as a special county according to the unified establishment standard of the Central Government Council. In October, 15 townships belonging to the evolution District of Shaoxing County were assigned to Xiaoshan County; Qianqing town of Xiaoshan county was assigned to Shaoxing County; and shuangjiangxi, sunao, Shangwang and yuzhai townships of Shengxian Sanjie district were assigned to Shaoxing County.
In the autumn of 1954, five townships of Sifeng, Yupu, Tangxia, Sicun and Shengjiang in Dongguan district and Tangpu District of Shaoxing County, and four townships of Changdong, Baoshan, Changtang and Huihu in Fusheng district were included in Shangyu.
In March 1956, Anchang district and its 11 townships were assigned to Xiaoshan County, and Liandong, Lianxi and Xialu townships of Xiaoshan county were assigned to Shaoxing County, forming Xialu township. From March to may, the districts were withdrawn and merged into townships, 14 districts were abolished (4 mountainous and semi mountainous district party committees were retained), and the original 8 towns and 155 townships were merged into 7 towns and 50 townships.
On February 21, 1958, the Zhejiang provincial Party committee of the Communist Party of China decided to merge Shaoxing County with Shaoxing City; in April, the merger of Shaoxing County with Shaoxing City ended; in July, the county Party committee decided to merge Shaoxing Municipal People's committee into Shaoxing County People's Committee. At the same time, the urban leading group and its office should be established. In October, the county's rural areas were converted into people's communes, with 15 communes and 137 administrative areas (teams).
On January 1, 1959, Toupeng township of the salt special zone was transferred to Xiaoshan County, Nanhui township was transferred to Shangyu County, and the establishment of the salt special zone was abolished.
In January 1978, xiner commune was established. Haitu district was established (later changed to North Vietnam District), and three communes, Xinwei, Mahai and xiner, were under the jurisdiction of the district. So far, the county has 11 districts, 69 communes, Chengguan town and 4 streets.
On March 31, 1981, Shaoxing County was abolished and Shaoxing City (county level) was established. Shaoxing County Revolutionary Committee was changed into Shaoxing Municipal People's government. In June, the revolutionary leading groups in all districts were abolished and the district offices were restored. In August, the organizational system of Chengguan town was abolished and a town office was set up. In September, Keqiao and Anchang were changed into established towns and the names of the people's governments were restored. In October, the revolutionary committees of the communes were renamed the commune management committees.
On July 27, 1983, the State Council approved the implementation of the system of city Governing County, abolishing the office of Shaoxing Commissioner, establishing Shaoxing City (prefecture level), and restoring Shaoxing County to the city. On September 20, the general office of the provincial government informed that Shaoxing County governs 10 districts, including Jianhu, Gaobu, Mashan, Qixian, Qianqing, Keqiao, Lizhu, Pingshui, Vietnam and Haitu (changed to Yuebei District in October 1986), two towns of Anchang and Keqiao and 61 communes (townships); Donghu District is abolished; Shaoxing City is set up as Yuecheng district (county level), which governs 4 streets of Fushan, Tashan, Jishan and Beihai, and Tingshan, Donghu, Yuling and Lingling There are 6 communes in Shizhi, Chengdong and Meishan. In October, the township and Town People's governments were restored.
In August 1984, Qianqing, Huashe, Lizhu, sunduan, Pingshui and Dongpu townships were changed into established towns; xiaxiaqiao township was changed into Qixian established towns.
In September 1985, Ma'an, Jiahui, Doumen and Mashan townships were transformed into established towns.
In August 1986, two townships of Fusheng and Wangtan were changed into established towns.
In April 1987, Hezuo township was renamed Ancheng township. In October, FanJiang township was changed into Gaobu town.
In 1988, Anchang township was abolished and transferred to Anchang town; Xinwei Township, Jiangqiao Township and Taoyan Township were changed into established towns.
In 1989, Keyan and paogu townships were changed into established towns, and Jiefang township was changed into Lougong established towns.
In 1991, HUTANG Township and Jidong Township were changed into established towns.
On May 13, 1992, the county government announced the withdrawal of districts, the expansion of towns and the merging of township administrative divisions; 10 districts were abolished and 62 townships were merged into 22 towns and 3 townships. Xialu township was changed into a town in autumn.
On November 25, 1996, Jijiang township was changed into an established town. So far, the whole county has been established as a town.
On June 16, 2000, zhezhengfa No. 121 approved that six administrative villages in Doumen Town, Shaoxing County, including xindoujiang, xindoumen, xinhuangfu, xinsunduan, xinhezuo and xinmashan, should be under the jurisdiction of Ma'an town. On May 29, 2000, zhezhengfa No. 97 proposed to expand the administrative area of Shaoxing City: Dongpu town, Jianhu Town, Gaobu Town, Mashan town and Doumen town (excluding xindoujiang, xindoumen, xinhuangfu, xinsunduan, xinhezuo, xinmashan and other six administrative villages) of Shaoxing County will be put under the jurisdiction of Yuecheng District of Shaoxing City. The original six administrative villages of Doumen Town, including xindoujiang, xindoumen, xinhuangfu, xinsunduan, xinhezuo and xinmashan, are still under the jurisdiction of Shaoxing County (to be approved by the State Council). On June 12, 2000, zhezhengfa No. 115 proposed to relocate Shaoxing County Government: it is proposed to move the residence of Shaoxing County People's government from Shaoxing City to Keqiao town (to be approved by the State Council).
On January 13, 2001, the State Council approved that: (1) Doumen town (excluding xinmashan village, xinhezuo village, xinhuangfu village, xinsunduan village, xindoujiang village and xindoumen Village), Dongpu town, Jianhu Town, Gaobu town and Mashan town of Shaoxing County should be put under the jurisdiction of Yuecheng District of Shaoxing City. (2) Shaoxing County People's government moved from Yuecheng District of Shaoxing City to Keqiao town.
On August 15, 2001, zhezhenghan No. 161 approved the adjustment of some administrative divisions in Shaoxing County: abolishing the organizational system of Pingjiang town and merging it with Pingshui town. Pingshui town governs 72 villages, 1 residence, in Pingshui Street (original site). The organizational system of Jijiang town was abolished, and some villages (Qingtan and other 9 villages) were merged into Wangtan town. Wangtan town governs 50 villages and 1 residence, and is located in Wangtan Village (original site). The rest of the original Jijiang town (10 villages including Chetou) was merged into Jidong town. Jidong town governs 71 villages and 1 residence, and is located in zhutiantou Village (original site). The organizational system of Keqiao Town, Huashe town and HUTANG town will be abolished, and Shaoxing County Government will be directly under the central government, and a number of streets will be set up. On August 21, 2001, SZF No. 107 reply: Keqiao sub district office: manages 28 Ju and 17 villages north of Xiaoshao railway in Keqiao Town, and is located in Jianhu Road (former Keqiao town site). Keyan sub district office: it manages 2 villages and 42 villages south of Xiaoshao railway in Keqiao Town, and is located in Keyan residential area. Huashe sub district office: manage the original Huashe town 3, 24 villages, in Huashe Village (original Huashe town site). HUTANG sub district office: to manage the former HUTANG town 2 Ju, 39 village, in HUTANG Village (the original HUTANG town site).
On January 30, 2003, zhezhenghan No. 12 approved that 15 villages, such as qilijiang, Qixian town, Shaoxing County, should be under the jurisdiction of Lingzhi Town, Yuecheng District: qilijiang, Zhuangtou, Lintou, Wufeng, Qianwang, Luyang, Luzhuang, Houzhu, gouyanggouchahu, Shanquan and Xishan
