Tieshangang District Tieshangang district is a municipal district under the jurisdiction of Beihai City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, adjacent to Tieshangang Bay. Tieshangang has a long history, is the world famous "south pearl" producing area, there are many historic sites such as Bailong Pearl City.
Tieshan port area is located on the Bank of Beibu Gulf, the east of Beihai City and the Bank of Tieshan port. It faces Baisha Town and Shatian town of Hepu County across the sea in the East, Beibu Gulf in the south, Fucheng town of Yinhai District of Beihai City in the west, and Zhakou town and Shikang town of Hepu County in the north.

Historical evolution
Tieshan port area has a long history. It is one of the departure ports of the maritime Silk Road and belongs to Baiyue in ancient times. Song, yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties were three villages, gulizhai and Jinghai regiments in Hepu County. In March 1952, Beihai was transferred to Guangxi Province. On July 1, 1955, he returned to Guangdong Province. In April 1956, it was a county-level city in Beihai. In June 1965, Tieshangang district was assigned to Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region along with Beihai city. In October 1983, it was a prefecture level Beihai city. On December 17, 1994, the State Council approved the establishment of a new Tieshan port area in Beihai city. Tieshangang District governs Nankang town and Yingpan Town which are divided from Hepu County, and the District People's government is located in Nankang town. Xinggang town has jurisdiction over shitoubu community, and 12 administrative villages including soshan, Yangwu, Xiejia, Fuwu, binchi, xiaomatou, Nanle, banjiuchong, Bitou, dashuling, Chuanjiang, binding and Powei.

Tieshangang district is located in the south of Guangxi, on the northern Bay of the South China Sea, in the east of Beihai City, and on the Bank of Tieshangang, with a total area of 394 square kilometers. The minerals in Tieshangang district are mainly low value non-metallic minerals, which are generally concentrated and buried shallowly. The larger reserves are ceramic clay, quartz sand, brick clay, etc., followed by limestone, peat soil, lignite, anthracite, glaze clay, etc. Kaolin is distributed all over the area, with reserves of more than 100 million tons, limestone reserves of 110 million tons and CaO content of 43-54%.
