Yongdeng County, formerly known as lingju and Zhuanglang, belongs to Lanzhou City, Gansu Province. It is located in the middle of Gansu Province and the northwest of Lanzhou City, with a total area of 6090 square kilometers, ranging from 102 ° 36 'e to 103 ° 45' e and 36 ° 12 'n to 37 ° 07'. It is adjacent to Gaolan county and Jingtai County of Gansu Province in the East, Minhe Hui and Tu Autonomous County of Qinghai Province in the west, Honggu District and Xigu District of Lanzhou City in the south, and Tianzhu Tibetan Autonomous County in the north. The longest distance from south to north is 107 kilometers, and the widest distance from west to East is 101 kilometers, with a total area of 6090 square kilometers.
Yongdeng County now governs 4 townships, 14 towns, 11 communities and 240 administrative villages (among which Zhongchuan and Qinchuan townships are entrusted to Lanzhou New Area), with a total population of nearly 530000, including 454000 agricultural population. There are mainly 18 ethnic groups including Han, Hui, man, Zang, Meng, Tu and Dongxiang, with ethnic minorities accounting for 4.5% of the total population.
On January 25, 2019, Yongdeng County was selected as the national "safe agricultural machinery" Demonstration County in 2018. On April 28, 2019, the Gansu Provincial Government approved Yongdeng County to withdraw from the poverty-stricken county.
Historical evolution
Han dynasty
In the second year of Yuanshou (121 BC) of the Western Han Dynasty, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty opened up Hexi, and Yongdeng was officially incorporated into the territory of the Western Han Dynasty.
Lingju county was established in the second year of Yuanding (115 BC). Lingju district is located in the north of Yongdeng County and Tianzhu district.
At the end of the Western Han Dynasty, Wang Mang established a new dynasty, and changed the names of lingju, Yunjie and Haoxian to Hanlu, Xiuyuan and Xingwu counties respectively.
In the Eastern Han Dynasty, there were four counties, lingju, Zhiyang, Yunjie and Haoyi, which were under the jurisdiction of Jincheng County of Liangzhou governor department. At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, after the unification of northern China by Cao Wei, it was still under the jurisdiction of Jincheng county. Zhiyang county was abandoned, and lingju County, Yunjie county and Haoyi County remained the same.
Jin dynasty
At the end of the Western Jin Dynasty, Zhang Yifu, the governor of Liangzhou, established Zhiyang county. In the fourth year of Jianxing (316), it was divided into two counties: lingju county and Zhiyang County, Yongdeng County and Guangwu county. This is the first time that the name of "Yongdeng" appears in history, which means that the grain will be abundant forever. Qianliang, qianqin, houqin, Houliang, Nanliang and Beiliang of the sixteen Wuhu states occupied one after another. Nanliang baldness and Wugu built their capital in Guangwu. the tang dynasty
In 619, Guangwu county was set up. In 759, Guangwu county was changed to Jincheng County, under the jurisdiction of Lanzhou, Longyou road.
Song Dynasty
At the beginning of the Northern Song Dynasty, it was still Guangwu County, Lanzhou, under the rule of the Tubo kusiluo. During the reign of Jingde, it was occupied by Xixia and belonged to Xiliang Prefecture. Zhuoluo and nanjianjunsi were stationed in today's hongchengzi to govern the region.
Yuan dynasty
In the first year of the Yuan Dynasty (1264), Zhuanglang County was established under the jurisdiction of Yongchang Road.
the Ming dynasty
In 1372, Zhuanglang County was changed into Zhuanglang Wei. At the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, yuan Zongshi took off Huan and led his troops to surrender to Liancheng. From the early Ming Dynasty to the Republic of China, the Lu family ruled Liancheng.
the Qing dynasty
In the Qing Dynasty, "in the second year of Kangxi, Wei was changed into an office, and in the third year of Yongzheng, an office was set up in Pingfan County, which was subordinate to Liangzhou Prefecture.". Haofen county was set up near heqiaoyi (later renamed xitongfen county).
The Republic of China
In the second year of the Republic of China (1913), it was returned to hexidao. In the third year of the Republic of China, it was changed to ganliangdao. In the 16th year of the Republic of China (1927), it was abandoned and returned to Lanshan administrative region. In 1928, it was changed into Yongdeng County, which was directly under the jurisdiction of Gansu provincial government. In 1936, it was divided into the first administrative supervision area. In 1941, it was divided into the sixth administrative supervision area.
New China
After liberation, it was initially led by Wuwei special region of Gansu Province. In 1955, the three special regions of Hexi were merged and led by Zhangye special region, and soon it was assigned to Dingxi special region. In December 1958, Yongdeng County was abolished and Yongdeng District of Lanzhou city was established. In 1961, Yongdeng County was restored and still belongs to Lanzhou city. In 1963, it was transferred from Lanzhou city to Wuwei district. In 1970, it returned to Lanzhou.
