Hanyuan County, a county under the jurisdiction of Ya'an City, Sichuan Province, is located in the West and south of Sichuan Province. Hanyuan County, the ancient name of zoudu, belongs to the kingdom of Shu. In the fifth year of King Shenliang of Zhou Dynasty (316 BC), the Qin Dynasty destroyed Shu state and established Shu County, which was under the jurisdiction of Shu county. Sui Renshou four years (604), in the name of Hanyuan in today's Jiuxiang town home Hanyuan County. In 1729, it was renamed Qingxi county. In 1914, Qingxi county was renamed Hanyuan County because it had the same name as Qingxi County in Guizhou Province.

Historical evolution
Hanyuan County, the ancient name of zoudu, belongs to the kingdom of Shu.
In the fifth year of King Shenliang of Zhou Dynasty (316 BC), the Qin Dynasty destroyed Shu state and established Shu County, which was under the jurisdiction of Shu county.
In the sixth year of Yuanding (111 BC), Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty pacified the southwest Yi people and established Shenli county with zuodu as niuxian county.
