Yinzhou District, Yinzhou District, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, is one of its core urban areas. Historical evolution
Yinzhou District has a long history. As early as the matriarchal commune period of the Neolithic age, there were primitive people living in the territory. In the winter of 1973, the primitive commune site was discovered in lujiaqiao, Sanlian Village, Shenjiao township. It has a history of 5000 years, and its cultural age is equivalent to the second layer of Hemudu culture. About the end of the primitive society, at the latest in the early Xia Dynasty, "Yin" has become a definite place name, Yin by "pansy" and "Yi" (Kan) two words synthesis. Gu Zuyu's "public opinion summary of history readers" said: "in the summer, there was a state of pansy, named after Chijin mountain Jiayi is called "Yin". Yin County belonged to Yue State in the spring and Autumn period and Chu state in the Warring States period.
After the Qin Dynasty destroyed Chu, it set up three counties in 222 BC, namely Yin County, Zhen County and jurzhang county.
The Han Dynasty inherited the system of the Qin Dynasty and still set up three counties. In the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Liu Yushu built a new town in Xiaoxi town (now Yinjiang town).
In the early Sui Dynasty, the three counties were integrated into one, which was called jurzhang county. In Tang Dynasty, it was changed to Wei county.
It was changed to Yin county at the beginning of the Five Dynasties, and the name of Yin county has been inherited since then. In the Northern Song Dynasty, there were six townships in Yinxian County, either Changguo county (now Dinghai District of Zhoushan) or Haixian county (now Zhenhai and Beilun District of Ningbo City). Since then, the territory of Yinxian county has been stable and less changed.
In the past, the city of Ningbo used to be governed by Yin County, formerly known as Mingzhou. In the Ming Dynasty, it was renamed Ningbo as a taboo. After liberation, Ningbo became a city, and Yin county was under the jurisdiction of Ningbo district and Ningbo City.
On April 19, 2002, with the approval of the State Council, it was established as Yinzhou District of Ningbo City.
