Suyu District Suyu District, formerly known as Suyu, Xiaxiang and Suqian, is located in the north central part of Suqian City and the east of the main urban area. It is the east wing of "one body, two wings" of Suqian City, and is the cross radiation area of the economic belt along the Yangtze River and Longhai. By the end of 2019, Suyu district had 3 streets, 8 towns, 2 townships and 2 township level parks, with a total area of 672.26 square kilometers, 498 thousand and 700 registered residence and New District streets in Henan Province.
Su Yu, Yu, and pre. Yixi in the Eastern Jin Dynasty is located in the middle of Huaiyang county. In the first year of Baoying (762), it was changed to Suqian county because of avoiding the name taboo of Daizong, which was followed until 1987. In 1987, Suqian county was abolished and Suqian City at county level was established. In 1996, Suqian City at the county level was abolished and Suqian City at the prefecture level was established. The former Suqian City at the county level was divided into Sucheng district and Suyu County. In 2004, Suyu County was abolished and Suyu District was established. In Suyu District, there are 325 provincial highway, 324 provincial highway, 268 provincial highway, 235 national highway, Suxin Expressway and other high-grade highways passing through the territory, and the shipping river canal passes through the West and south of the territory. The main tourist attractions in Suyu District are liyuanwan, e-commerce dream town, Suqian zoo, etc.; the historical culture mainly includes Daxing dry boat and dingzui running donkey, etc.; the local specialties mainly include dingzui Jincai, Daxing Gualou, etc.
In 2019, Suyu District's GDP will reach 31.525 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 7.5% at comparable prices. Among them, the added value of the primary industry was 3.131 billion yuan, an increase of 2.3%; the added value of the secondary industry was 14.104 billion yuan, an increase of 6.2%; the added value of the tertiary industry was 14.290 billion yuan, an increase of 10.0%.
History of construction
Suyu District was the territory of Zhongwu vassal states in the Yellow River Valley of the Central Plains in ancient history. In the entry of Suyu County, the dictionary of ancient and modern place names in China notes that it is the name of the place where people of Song Dynasty moved to during the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, the spring and Autumn period. In the 13th year of King Zhouzhuang (684 BC), Duke min of the Song Dynasty ordered Suguo to move to the mainland of the Song Dynasty as a vassal. The place where he moved was in the middle of Huaibei. Suzhou is named after the Ancient Suzhou. In addition, Suqian County in Jiangsu Province has been said since Suqian moved to China.
In the Qin Dynasty, Xiaxiang county was set up, and Suyu County was set up in the first year of emperor Yixi of the Eastern Jin Dynasty.

In 505, Zhang huishao, the fourth year of Liang Tianjian's reign, rebuilt the moat of Chengguo and used it as a military fortress. Tianjian eight years (509 years) home East Xuzhou, Zhi Suyu, near seven counties and five counties, are subordinate to it.
In the third year of the Qing Dynasty (549), he entered the Eastern Wei Dynasty (also known as the Northern Wei Dynasty), set up the eastern Chuzhou, governed Suyu, and changed Suyu to Suyu.
In 575, Emperor Chen Xuan came to Chen and changed Xuzhou in the east of Liang Dynasty to Anzhou to govern Suyu. Eleven years (579) to enter the Northern Zhou Dynasty, the Eastern Wei Chuzhou for Sizhou, Suyu County is still home, Suyu County.
In 607, Emperor Yangdi changed Sizhou into xiapi county and ruled Suyu County.
In 621, Emperor Gaozu of Tang Dynasty changed xiapi County of Sui Dynasty to Sizhou, and Suyu was still the capital.
In the 23rd year of Kaiyuan (735) of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, Suyu County was washed away by Yimeng Mountains and rivers (also known as the Yellow River), so Sizhou was transferred to linhuai County, and Suyu County was transferred to the former site of xiaxiangcheng.
In the first year of Tang BAOYING (762), Suyu County was changed to Suqian county because of avoiding emperor Daizong's taboo, which means "Suqian County moved". Suqian county's name has been followed until 1987.
In 1987, Suqian county was abolished and replaced by Suqian City, a provincial county-level city, under the management of Huaiyin City.
In 1996, the county-level Suqian City was abolished and prefecture level Suqian City was established. The former county-level Suqian City was divided into Sucheng district and Suyu County.
In 2004, Suyu County was abolished and Suyu District was established.

In October 1949, Suqian county had 12 districts, including Sucheng, Daxing, Shaodian, Shunhe, Xiaodian, Buzi, Yunhe, Yangji, Suwei, Taishan, Luji and Gucheng, with a total of 156 towns.
In June 1950, Shaodong and Shaoxi townships of Shaodian town to the north of Xinyi River in Suqian county were assigned to Xin'an County (now Xinyi City); in July of the same year, Huaiyin District administrative office assigned Miaowu District of Suining County (now wangguanji town and most of Zaohe town) to Suqian county and established Zaohe District; in December of the same year, Shaodian district was renamed Lailong district.
In September 1952, Luowei district and Yanghua district were added in Suqian county.
In October 1953, the people's Government of Jiangsu Province divided the five townships of Liuhu, Wuyuan, Binhe, Liyun and Zhaonian under the jurisdiction of Zhangji District of Suining County into Canal District of Suqian county.
In July 1954, Luji district and Gucheng district were abolished; in September of the same year, Zaohe town under the jurisdiction of Zaohe district was changed into a town directly under the county; in October of the same year, Zhangshan, Guangqian and Wangying townships of Xinyi county were divided into Xiaodian District of Suqian county.
In November 1955, Zaohe town was put under the jurisdiction of Zaohe district.
In February 1956, Suqian County District, township adjustment and merger, the abolition of Zaohe, Yanghua, Luowei, Suwei, Taishan five districts, Yangji district changed to Gengche district. In June of the same year, the four villages of daohuai, shewei, Ludong and Luxi in Zhuoma township of Siyang County were under the jurisdiction of Suqian County; in July of the same year, Sucheng district was renamed Sucheng town.
In January 1957, districts and townships were merged again. Suqian county has jurisdiction over Sucheng town and seven districts including Daxing, Lailong, Buzi, Xiaodian, Yunhe, Shunhe and Gengche, including 48 townships.
In January 1958, Suqian county had two towns of Sucheng and Zaohe, and 24 townships of Jingtou, Daxing, zhuowu, Guanmiao, dingzui, Luji, Yanghua, Lailong, Caoji, Shiling, Xiaodian, Buzi, Luowei, Longhe, Nancai, Sanshu, yangbei, Gucheng, Gengche, Caiji, Huangdun, Luwei, Zhihe, etc.
In September 1958, the townships of Suqian county were transformed into people's communes, and the integration of government and society was implemented. Among them, Luwei Township and Zhihe Township merged into Luomahu people's commune.
In October 1959, Jingtou commune was abolished, and its brigade was assigned to Bawang (formerly Sucheng town), Xiaodian, Caoji and other communes.
In July 1960, the Luomahu people's commune was abolished, and the brigade under its jurisdiction was divided into Zaohe people's Commune and the original seed farm.
In August 1961, three people's communes, Baoan, Xinzhuang and Yanji, were established in Suqian county.
In 1962, Sucheng town and Bawang commune were established separately. Luomahu commune was restored and Tanghu commune was added.
In April 1964, Luomahu commune was renamed zhikou commune; in October of the same year, Bawang commune was renamed Jingtou commune, and Gucheng commune was renamed shuangzhuang commune.
In July 1965, Luomahu commune was added. At this time, Suqian County governs 29 communes and 1 town.
In October 1966, influenced by the cultural revolution, Daxing, Zhuowei, Guanmiao, Lailong and Baoan communes were renamed Daxin, Shunhe, Hongqi, Lailong, nonghe and Yongsheng communes respectively.
In October 1981, except Daxin commune, its original name was restored. At the same time, Wangji, Sanshu and Yanji communes were renamed wangguanji, sankeshu and Zhaonian communes because of their double names and stress.
In 1983, Suqian County gradually changed from community team system to rural system; in May of the same year, Daxin commune was restored.
In November 1985, Zaohe was withdrawn from the township and built into a town.
In February 1987, Buzi, Daxing, Gengche and Lailong were transformed into towns; in December of the same year, Suqian county was renamed Suqian City (county level).
In 1990, Suqian City (county level) had jurisdiction over 6 towns, 24 townships and 6 farms, including Sucheng Town, Zaohe Town, Buzi Town, Daxing Town, Gengche Town, Lailong Town, Yanghua Township, yangbei Township, Nancai Township, Luowei Township, Longhe Township, sankeshu Township, shuangzhuang Township, zhikou Township, Caiji Township, wangguanji Township, Zhaonian Township, Huangdun Township, Luomahu Township, Xiaodian Township, Jingtou Township and Tangtang township Hu Township, Caoji Township, Shiling Township, Baoan Township, Guanmiao Township, Xinzhuang Township, dingzui Township, Luji Township, Zhuowei Township, original seed farm, improved seed breeding farm, Zhangshan forest farm, orchard farm, forest nursery, mulberry nursery.
In July 1991, mulberry nursery was renamed sericulture farm.
In December 1995, wangguanji and Caiji withdrew the township to build the town, and the orchard farm was renamed orchard township.
In July 1996, Suqian was established as a city divided into districts. The former county-level Suqian City was divided into Sucheng district and Suyu County. Suyu County governs 8 towns of the former county-level Suqian City, namely Gengche, Zaohe, Buzi, Daxing, Lailong, Caiji and wangguanji, as well as Luomahu, Longhe, Guanmiao, Huangdun, Luji, Luowei, dingzui, Baoan, Caoji, Xiaodian, Tanghu, Yanghua, sankeshu, Shiling, Xinzhuang, yangbei and zhuowu (renamed Zhuowei town), Zhaonian (renamed Binhe town) and Nancai 19 townships. At the same time, Shunhe town was set up as Chengguan town from Zhuowei township.
In 2000, the organizational system of Luomahu Township and Binhe town was abolished and merged into Zaohe town; the organizational system of Tanghu township was abolished and merged into Xiaodian town; the organizational system of zhuowu town was abolished and merged into Shunhe town; meanwhile, Longhe, Guanmiao, Huangdun, Luji, dingzui, Xiaodian, Yanghua, Shiling, Xinzhuang and yangbei towns were withdrawn and built.
In March 2004, Suyu County was abolished and Suyu District was established. Gengche Town, Buzi Town, yangbei Town, Longhe Town, Luowei Township, Nancai Township and sankeshu township of Suyu County were under the jurisdiction of Suyu District, while Jingtou township of Suyu District was under the jurisdiction of Suyu District. After the adjustment, Suyu District governs 14 towns of Shunhe, Zaohe, Daxing, Lailong, Caiji, wangguanji, Yanghua, dingzui, Huangdun, Luji, Guanmiao, Shiling, Xinzhuang and Xiaodian, 3 townships of Caoji, Baoan and Jingtou, and Zhangshan forest farm.
In November 2005, Suqian Municipal Party committee decided to establish Hubin New Town Development Zone in Suqian City, which entrusted some villages in Xiaodian Town, Zhangshan forest farm and Jingtou township to Hubin new town development zone.
