Zhuji, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Zhejiang Province, is managed by Shaoxing. Historical evolution
In the middle of the Xia Dynasty, Emperor Shaokang granted the concubines more than Yue, and Zhuji belonged to Yue. (according to historical records, Yu arrived at Dayue and went up to Miaoshan to gather all the princes. He stayed here. He was virtuous and meritorious, so he named this place Zhuji, which means that all the princes of the world arrived at the place where they stayed.)
In the spring and Autumn period, it belonged to the state of Yue. Yunchang, the king of Yue, established his capital in Yuzhong, Dabu and Goucheng, and his son Goujian moved his capital to Kuaiji (now Shaoxing, Zhejiang). Therefore, Zhuji was the ancient capital of Yue earlier than Shaoxing. When Zhuji was the capital, Shaoxing was the territory of Zhuji.
In the 25th year of the first emperor of Qin Dynasty (222 BC), Kuaiji county was set up and Zhuji county was set up. According to Yuanhe county annals, "there are Jipu and Zhushan in the county, because they are named after each other."
In the Western Han Dynasty, it belonged to Kuaiji County of the History Department of Yangzhou. In the new mang period, it was renamed Shulu.
In the early period of Jianwu in the Eastern Han Dynasty, the name was restored.
In the second year of Xingping in the Eastern Han Dynasty (195 AD), it entered Fengan and Hanning counties.
During the Wu period of the Three Kingdoms, Hanning was changed to Wuning.
The Western Jin Dynasty belongs to Kuaiji Prefecture.
The Eastern Jin Dynasty belongs to Kuaiji state. In the Southern Dynasty, it was subordinate to Kuaiji Prefecture. Emperor Wen of Sui Dynasty belongs to Wuzhou. In 589 A.D., Wuning county was abolished and the original land of Zhuji was restored to Zhuji.
Daye of Sui Dynasty was still a county of Kuaiji. In Tang Dynasty, it belonged to Kuaiji Prefecture and Yuezhou. In the second year of Gaozong Yifeng (677 AD), Zhuji and Kuaiji were divided into Yongxing County.
In the second year of chuigong (686 AD), Zhuji county was redistributed into Dongyang county.
In the third year of Guangqi (887 AD), Zhuji was renamed Jiyang.
The Five Dynasties belonged to the eastern government of Yue State.
It was renamed Zhuji in 910 A.D. In the early Song Dynasty, it belonged to Yuezhou in eastern Zhejiang.
In the first year of Shaoxing in the Southern Song Dynasty (1131 AD), it belonged to Shaoxing Prefecture.

Zhuji was liberated on May 6, 1949, and until June 22, Zhuji was under the jurisdiction of the Xiao Shao Zhuhang provisional Committee of the Communist Party of China. In January 1952, Shaoxing district was abolished and directly under Zhejiang Province.
