Fucheng county is a county under the jurisdiction of Hengshui City, Hebei Province. It is located in the southeast of Hebei Province and the northeast of Hengshui City. It belongs to the Heilonggang basin, with a total area of 697 square kilometers. It faces Dongguang County across the South Canal in the East, Botou County in the North, Wuyi County in the West and Jingxian County in the south. Fude road runs through the north and south, Wuma road and Lingxia road run across the East and West.
Fucheng County governs 5 towns, 5 townships, 610 administrative villages, with a population of 329000 (in 2010), and is one of the open counties in China. Fucheng county has formed three leading industries: casting machine processing, clothing and textile, and agricultural and sideline products processing. It is one of the first national science popularization demonstration counties and national sports advanced counties.
On September 29, 2018, the Hebei provincial government issued a notice officially approving Fucheng county to withdraw from the poverty-stricken county sequence. In September 2020, it will be included in the list of food industry strong counties (cities, districts) (cultivation type) in Hebei Province.
Historical evolution
The spring and Autumn period belongs to Jin Dynasty, the Warring States period is the land of Yan, Zhao and Qi, and the Qin Dynasty belongs to Julu County.
Fucheng county was established in the Western Han Dynasty. Because of its high terrain, many mounds and sand dunes, it is named for the purpose of enriching the people with natural resources. It also takes the meaning of "enriching the people" in the book of history. Gonggao County, Houjing county and puling county were also in the ancient city, belonging to Bohai County of Youzhou. Emperor Jing of the Han Dynasty changed his name to Changcheng, belonging to the Xindu state of Jizhou. In the Eastern Han Dynasty, Fucheng county was restored, belonging to the Anping state of Jizhou.
The Three Kingdoms belonged to Wei and belonged to Bohai county.
In the northern and Southern Dynasties, it belonged to Wuyi County of Hebei Province in the Northern Wei Dynasty at the beginning, and then to Changle County. In 556, the county government was transferred to Fucheng.
In the early Sui Dynasty, it belonged to Changle County, then Hejian Prefecture, then Guanzhou, and then Xindu County of Jizhou.
In the early Tang Dynasty, it belonged to Guanzhou. In 643, it belonged to Xindu County, Jizhou, Hebei Province. In the second year of Tianyou (905), it was renamed Hanfu and later restored to Fucheng county.
In the early Song Dynasty, it belonged to Jizhou. In 1063, it entered Dongguang and was restored. It belonged to Yongjing army of Hebei East Road. During the reign of Jingkang (1126-1127), Liu Yu, the puppet Qi emperor, changed his name to Fuchang County, which was the county government.
In the Jin Dynasty, Fucheng county was restored and renamed Jingzhou.
At the end of Yuan Dynasty, Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Hejian Prefecture.
In 1913, it belonged to the Bohai Sea.
In 1914, it belonged to Tianjin Haidao.
In 1928, it was transferred to Hebei Province.
From 1938 to 1945, Dongguang west district and Fucheng county set up Fudong county to govern sun town of Jingxian county.
In May 1946, he moved to Fucheng.
In 1949, it was renamed Fucheng county and attached to Hengshui district.
In 1952, it was transferred to Cangxian district.
In November 1958, it was incorporated into Jiaohe County, which was under the jurisdiction of Cang County, and later under the jurisdiction of the southern suburb of Tianjin.
In May 1961, Jiaohe county was divided into Dongguang County, Jiaohe county and Nanpi County. The area to the east of zhuanmen in Fucheng was designated as Dongguang County, and the area to the West was designated as Jiaohe county.
In May 1962, Fucheng county was restored to Hengshui special district.
In 1970, it belonged to Hengshui area.
