Historical evolution
Wuxing is the ancient name of Huzhou City in Zhejiang Province. In 266, the second year of Wu Ganlu in the Three Kingdoms, SUN Hao, the Lord of Wu, changed Wucheng to Wuxing with the meaning of "prosperity of Wu state" and established Wuxing County, which is equivalent to the whole territory of Huzhou City, including Qiantang (now Hangzhou) and Yangxian (now Yixing).

The Qin Dynasty was renamed Wucheng county.
In 680, Wuxing county was set up in the second year of Tiaolu in Tang Dynasty. This is the first time that the county was named "Wuxing". Although the number of later buildings was changed, the name of "Wuxing" was retained.
In February of the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Wuxing county was established.
In January 1981, Wuxing county was withdrawn and merged into Huzhou City.
