When it was established, it was named after the Nuomin River (now called "numin River") and set up the Nuomin River Administration Bureau. Because of the same name as the proposed Nuomin County in the province, it was named suilengge mountain in the northeast of the territory. Suileng, which means "wasp" in Manchu, gets its name because there are many wasps on the mountain. Later, because of the homonym of "Leng" and "Leng", it was changed to "Suiling" when the county seal was made; later, "Leng" was changed to "Zhuo".
