Jidong County Jidong County, under the jurisdiction of Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province, was established in 1965 and got its name because its administrative region is located to the east of Jiguan mountain. Jidong county is connected with Mishan City in the East, Qitaihe City and Boli County in the north, Linkou County, Muling City and Jixi City in the west, and Russia in the south.

Historical evolution
Jidong was the place where Sushen lived in Shang and Zhou dynasties. Qin and Han Dynasties were subordinate to Liaodong county. In Eastern Han Dynasty, Sushen was renamed yilou and indirectly subordinate to xuantu county.
In the southern and Northern Dynasties, yilou was renamed Wuji, forming seven divisions, and Jidong belonged to Haoshi division.
