Wuchuan Gelao and Miao Autonomous County Wuchuan Gelao and Miao Autonomous County (hereinafter referred to as Wuchuan County) is an Autonomous County under the jurisdiction of Zunyi City, Guizhou Province. It is located at the border of Guizhou and Chongqing. It is one of the two minority autonomous counties with Gelao as the main ethnic group in China.
Wuchuan county is located in the northeast of Guizhou Province, connecting Dejiang County and Yanhe Tujia Autonomous County in the East, Zheng'an county and Daozhen Gelao and Miao Autonomous County in the west, Fenggang county in the south, and Wulong district and Pengshui Miao and Tujia Autonomous County in Chongqing in the north.
By the end of 2020, it has a total area of 2777 square kilometers, governs 81 villages and 42 communities in 3 streets, 11 towns and 2 townships, with a total population of 470000, of which the minority population dominated by Gelao and Miao Nationalities accounts for 96.56% of the total population.
In 2020, the county's GDP will reach 8.497 billion yuan. On April 24, 2019, Guizhou Provincial People's government officially approved Wuchuan Gelao and Miao Autonomous County to withdraw from the poverty-stricken county sequence. On February 2, 2019, it was rated as the county-level advanced unit of Chinese medicine by the State Administration of traditional Chinese medicine. On July 29, 2020, it will be included in the National Health township (county) naming list of 2017-2019 cycle.

Wuchuan county is located in the northeast of Guizhou Province. Its geographical coordinates are 107 ° 30 ′ - 108 ° 13 ′ E and 28 ° 10 ′ - 29 ° 05 ′ n. Geology and geomorphology
Geologically, Wuchuan county belongs to the nee structural deformation area of the Yangtze paraplatform, Qianbei platform uplift, Zunyi faulted arch, Bijie and Fenggang, and is dominated by NE and NNE polygonal structures. The folds in this area mainly include Wuchuan syncline, NiGao syncline and Jinjiling anticline.
The landform of Wuchuan county belongs to the transitional slope zone from the northeast of Yunnan Guizhou Plateau to Sichuan Basin. The overall terrain is high in the West and low in the East, high in the north and low in the south. Generally, the altitude in the area is between 650-1000 meters, with the highest peak at Sunzi mountain in Zhuoshui Town, 1743 meters above sea level, and the lowest point at the exit of Hongdu River in Hongsi Township, 325.3 meters above sea level. According to its genesis, the geomorphic types in the area can be divided into three types: dissolution geomorphic area, dissolution erosion geomorphic area and erosion geomorphic area.
