Yuetang District Yuetang district belongs to Xiangtan City, Hunan Province. It is located at the northeast end of Xiangtan City, where Xiangjiang River and Lianshui River meet, Shifeng District of Zhuzhou City in the East, Xiangtan County across Xiangjiang River in the south, Yuhu District across Xiangjiang River in the west, and Changsha County in Changsha City in the north. The geographical center coordinates are 112.95 degrees east longitude and 27.87 degrees north latitude. By 2018, it has nine streets under its jurisdiction.
At the end of 2019, the total population of the registered residence was 353 thousand and 900, with a permanent population of 480 thousand and 200.
Yuetang district is located in the central area of the junction of Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan. It is the political center and important industrial area of Xiangtan City, the key area of "two oriented" social construction of Changsha Zhuzhou Xiangtan Urban Agglomeration and the leading area of "two oriented" social construction of Xiangtan city. In December 2017, he was elected as one of the top 100 industrial counties in China. In October 2018, it was selected as one of the top 100 green development zones in China in 2018. In November 2018, it was selected as one of the top 100 industrial districts in 2018. In October 2019, it was rated as one of the top 100 green development zones in China in 2019. Evolution of organizational system
Yuetang district is a new district approved by the State Council in 1992. It is a combination of Bantang District, Yuetang district and suburbs.
In the Ming Dynasty, there was an inspection department of photography, which was called the inspection department of photography for short. The former Qing Dynasty belonged to the third and twelfth counties of Xiangtan County.
In 1944, it belonged to Yishuhe Township, Xiacheng Township and Zhaoshan township of Xiangtan County.
In August 1949, Xiangtan was peacefully liberated, and the people's Government of Xiangtan County was established, which belongs to the eastern and southern districts of Xiangtan County.
In 1954, shesi District, yijiawan town and wulitan town were under the jurisdiction of Xiangtan city.
Yuetang district was set up in 1961 and changed to Hedong District, yijiawan District, yijiawan town and wulitan town in 1965.
Xiangtan Revolutionary Committee was established in September 1968. In October 1980, Xiangtan Revolutionary Committee was renamed Xiangtan Municipal People's government. In the same year, Xiangtan city was changed into a province directly under the central government.
In 1980, Hedong District was divided into Yuetang District, Bantang district and suburb.
In 1992, Yuetang District, Bantang district and suburbs were abolished, and a new Yuetang district was set up, which governed the former Bantang district (shejian village office, Jianshe Road office, Wulidui office, yijiawan office, Majiahe office, dishuibu Office), the former Yuetang district (Shuyuan Road office, xiashisi office, Zhongzhou Road office, Yuetang office, Dongping Office), and the former Xiacheng suburb Five townships, namely, Baota, Bantang, Hetang and Zhaoshan, and yangtianhu and Hongqi farms. After the adjustment, Yuetang district has jurisdiction over 11 sub district offices, 5 townships and 2 farms. The District People's government was stationed in the former Yuetang District People's government.

In 2004, Yuetang District governed 10 streets, 2 towns and 4 townships. Yuetang Street governs 13 communities including Yuetang street, patang, cunmutang, sanzhuling, muzhitang, chunchongtang, dabanfang, juhuatang, tieniubu, Sishen temple, quanxintang, Wayao and Changtan road; and Yuannan Village neighborhood committee. Dongping Street governs four communities: Sanjiaoping, Taiping Street, shixiangzi and Wanfu. Zhongzhou Road Street governs 11 communities, including Great Wall, Jiuzhou, Yunhe, Jianshe, yaquetang, Zijian, Zhongzhou, Sutang, Dianzhong, hehuatang and Guangsheng. Shuyuan Road Street governs 9 communities: banzhutang, Mudan, Xiaotang, feilanping, Xintang, Shuyuan Road, Yuejin, Xiangjiatang and Tianhe Village. Xiashesi street has five communities: shesi, banbian street, kuziyuan, Yingjian village and Dongyuan village. Jianshe Road Street has jurisdiction over seven communities: Shuguang, Xiaguang, Furong, Shentang, Daqiao, Jianshe and Yinghong. Dishuibu Street governs dishuibu, Yong'an, zhubu and Xiangyang communities. Wulidui Street governs yanjiatang, Shachang street, Dongfeng, Bantang, Jinnai, baotaling and Wulidui communities. Shejiancun Street governs five communities, namely Qiuping, Wenjian, Xuewei, Anle and Xinjian. Baota Street governs 8 communities including Pajin, xintangli, yunpan, Donghu Road, Fuxing, Baota, Ji'an and power plant, and 9 village committees including Yunfeng, yunpan, Changtang, Chayuan, Jiangbian, Xinzao, Fuxing, Dengqiao and Donghu. Yijiawan town has five communities: Jiantao, Datang, Lukou, Shuangtang and Yaozhou, and five village committees: Xinhu, haotang, Jinnan, Xinnan and Hongqi. Shuangma town governs Majiahe, Xindian and Xinzhan communities; Xiangxiang, Yuehua, fahua, Yunhe, collective, Guoqiang, Xinhua, Jianshe 8 village committees; Xiangyang farm. Xiacheng township has eight village committees, namely Yuetang, Lianhe, Wuxing, Shunjiang, Heping, xiashisi, Xiacheng and Yangtang. Bantang Township governs seven village committees, namely Wuyi, Bantang, Xitang, Guanghua, nonglian, Xinnong and Yaoquan. Hetang Township governs 12 village committees and comprehensive farms in Jinhu, Qingshui, Wuai, Dishui, shuangbu, Yijia, zhubu, Zhengjiang, Qunli, Hetang, Qingshan and Zhifang. Zhaoshan township has 15 village committees: Zhaoshan, Yuping, Jinping, Tuanshan, Xingfu, Xinnong, Gaofeng, Baihe, Jinxing, Ma'an, Lixin, Huangmao, nanmu, Shijin and Xinmin. In 2004, Yuetang District governed 10 streets, 2 towns and 4 townships: Yuetang street, Dongping street, Zhongzhou Road Street, Shuyuan road street, xiashesi street, Jianshe Road Street, dishuibu street, Wulidui street, shejiancun street, Baota street, yijiawan Town, Shuangma Town, Xiacheng Town, Bantang Town, Hetang Town and Zhaoshan town. In the same year, the administrative center of Xiangtan City moved eastward to Yuetang District, which became the political center of Xiangtan city.
On April 19, 2012, the Xiangtan Municipal Government approved Yuetang district to set up Hongqi sub district office in Panlong, Hongqi, Baota and Yangguang communities of Jianshe Road sub district. On September 25, 2012, Xiangtan Municipal government agreed to abolish Shuangma town and Bantang Township in Yuetang district and set up Shuangma sub district office and Bantang sub district office. Shuangma street and Bantang Street are managed by the Management Committee of the high tech Zone entrusted by the people's Government of Yuetang district.
In 2014, Xiangtan Municipal government abolished Xiacheng town of Yuetang district and established Xiacheng street.

Geology and geomorphology
Yuetang district is located in the middle of Changheng Hilly Basin, which belongs to the transition zone from central Hunan hilly area to southern Hunan mountainous area. It is basically hilly type, and the soil is mostly yellow red soil. The strata belong to tertiary Hengyang red sandstone, shale and conglomerate. The stratum in the area is mostly weathered rock eluvium soil, limestone stratum is below 100m, and groundwater is below 10m. The basic intensity of the earthquake in Yuetang district is 6 degrees.

Xiangjiang River flows through the west, South and southeast of Yuetang district. It is not only an important water source for the industrial area and the whole area, but also a polluted water body. Xiangjiang River is the main tributary of the Yangtze River system, originated in Guangxi Lingui district. The Yuetang section of Xiangjiang River, from Majiahe River to yijiawan, is about 42km in length. The river valley is open, the meandering flow is developed, and the longitudinal gradient of the riverbed is small. The river is 400-800 meters wide. The average water level is 28.89 m (1956 Yellow Sea elevation system, the same below), the highest water level is 39.67 m (June 18, 1994), the lowest water level is 25.42 m (October 6, 1996), the maximum flow rate is 21100 m3 / s, the minimum flow rate is 100 m3 / s, the multi-year average flow rate is 2160 m3 / s, the daily average flow rate is 0.65 M / s, and the maximum average flow rate is 1.1 m / s. The annual average sediment concentration is 0.16 kg / m3. The wet season is from April to July, and the dry season is from December to February of the next year. Xiangtan hydrological station controls the Xiangjiang River Basin area of 81638 square kilometers. There are two tributaries of Lianshui and Juanshui in Xiangtan city. The annual average water level is 28.304 m (Yellow Sea elevation, the same below), the highest peak water level is 39.664 m, and the lowest water level is 25.42 M.
