Suixi County, Suixi County, belongs to Huaibei City, Anhui Province. Located in the north of Anhui Province, it is adjacent to Yongqiao District of Suzhou City in the East, Mengcheng County and Huaiyuan County in the south, Woyang County in the west, Yongcheng city of Henan Province in the northwest, and Huaibei City in the north. The total area is 1987 square kilometers, and the registered residence population is 1 million 129 thousand and 500 (2018). The county governs 11 towns. The county government is located at 92 Tuohe Road, Suixi town.
Suixi County is an important county in the Central Plains Economic Zone, Huaihai Economic Zone and Xuzhou economic circle. It is known as "the coal city of Jiuxiang, the granary of Central Plains, the capital of energy and the hometown of canal". In October 2017, it was named National Garden County by the Ministry of housing and urban rural development. On October 22, 2018, it was selected into the list of pilot areas for the integrated development of rural primary, secondary and tertiary industries in 2018.
In 2018, the GDP of Suixi County was 34.19 billion yuan, an increase of 7.1%; the fiscal revenue was 3.96 billion yuan, an increase of 18.1%. In November 2019, it will be selected as the second batch of counties (districts) that meet the water-saving society construction standards.
Historical evolution
In the spring and Autumn period, it belonged to the state of song. During the Warring States period, it belonged to the state of Chu.
In the 26th year of the reign of the king of Qin (221 BC), China was unified, with Xiang County, Zi County, Qi county and Fuli County as its branches, belonging to Sishui county.
In the fourth year of Gaozu in the Western Han Dynasty (203 BC), Sishui county was changed to Pei County, while Xiang and Zi counties remained unchanged. In the sixth year of Yuanshou (117 BC), Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty appointed general Ju Weng as Marquis of Xiangcheng, and Peijun was changed into Marquis state. In the first year of emperor Xuandi's Festival (69 BC), Pengcheng county was in the East, and the rest belonged to the Marquis state. Later, Hou state was also called Peijun.
During the period of the Three Kingdoms, Cao Wei moved to Peixian county (now Peixian County, Jiangsu Province), which belonged to Xiang County, Zhi county, Zhuyi County, Qi county and Fuli County of Qiao County in Yuzhou. In the Western Jin Dynasty, Pei moved to Xiangcheng. It belongs to Xiang County, Zhuyi County, Fuli County of Pei state in Yuzhou, and Zhi county and Qi county of Qiao state. In the first year of Yongchu of Song Dynasty (420), it belonged to Xiang County, Zhuyi County, Fuli County of Pei County, and Zhi county and Qi county of Qiao County. In the sixth year of Liang Dynasty (525), Linhuan county was set up in the old city of Zhixian County in Han and Jin Dynasties. It belongs to Suizhou and is located in Huanbei county (now 70 miles southwest of Suixi County in Anhui Province). It belongs to Linhuan county and Qicheng County of qiaozhou. In the Eastern Wei Dynasty (539-542), Linhuan county was abolished and changed to qiaozhou (now the old city of Guoyang County in Anhui Province). In 547, Linhuan county was divided into Baishan county (now Baishan South) and Huanbei county (now liuziji South qingucheng Village), belonging to Peijun Xiang County, Qicheng County, Baishan county and Huanbei county. In the first year of Tianbao in the Northern Qi Dynasty (550), Zhuyi county was reestablished to govern Zhuyi city; in the fourth year of Tianbao in the Northern Qi Dynasty (553), Linhuan county was abolished and Huanbei county was set up as Linhuan county and changed to qiaozhou county. In the third year of Wuping (572), it belonged to Chenggao County of Pengcheng County, Qicheng County of Qicheng County, Zhuyi county and Fuli County of suinan County, Linhuan county and Baishan County of Qiao County.
In 583, Zhuyi county was merged into Fuli county. In the first year of Daye (605), Baishan county was merged into Linhuan County, belonging to Linhuan County of Qiao County, Qi County, Fuli county and Xiao County of Pengcheng county.
In the early Tang Dynasty (618), it belonged to Fuli County, Qi county and Linhuan County of Xuzhou. In the fourth year of Wude (621), Fuli county was established as Zhuyang county (now zhaojishan West Village). In 809, Fuli County, Qi county and Sizhou Hong County of Xuzhou were established as Suzhou, belonging to Fuli County, Qi county and Linhuan County of Bozhou; in 814, Linhuan county was changed into Suzhou, belonging to Fuli County, Linhuan county and Qi county of Suzhou.
In 972, in order to strengthen the military position of Suzhou, the Baojing army was set up. Suzhou belonged to Huainan road. In 1072, Suzhou belonged to Huainan East Road, Linhuan County, Fuli county and Qi county. In the Southern Song Dynasty, the north of Changhuai was reduced to Jin, belonging to Fuli County, Linhuan county and Qi county of Suzhou.
In the second year of Yuan Dynasty (1265), Linhuan County, Fuli county and Qi county were abolished and merged into Suzhou, which belongs to the guide Prefecture of Henan Province.
During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it belonged to Suzhou.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Suzhou was changed to Suzhou County, which belongs to Suzhou county.
On September 20, 1950, Suxian county was divided into Suxi County; on November 13, Suxi county was changed into Suixi County, which was under the jurisdiction of Suxian District of the people's Administrative Office of Northern Anhui.
In 1952, 11 natural villages in Suixi County, Suxian County, Anhui Province, including Zhaozhuang, Zhongzhuang, Wangzhuang, xiaogouan, dizhuang, Zhangzhuang, Miaozhuang, Huangzhuang, Zhuzhuang, Zhangjing and Huzhuang, were assigned to Yongcheng County, Henan Province (approved by the Ministry of internal affairs on December 5, 1952) (approved by the East China military political commissar [dongban (SAN) Zi No. 0443] on April 27, 1952) (approved by the South and North Anhui people's administrative office on June 4, 1952) [WMZ No. 03446] reply) report of Suxian District on February 18.
In 1956, Suxian District and Chuxian District merged into Bengbu district. Suixi County belongs to Bengbu District of Anhui Province.
In November 1957, the Anhui Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China approved the "preliminary planning and construction scheme for the development of Huaibei Mining Area" and established the Preparatory Office of Zhahe coal mine.
In March 1958, it was changed into the Preparatory Office of Suixi coal mine; in May 1958, it was changed into the Preparatory Office of Huaibei coal mine.
On March 22, 1959, the 86th plenary session of the State Council decided to abolish Suixi County and establish Suixi city as the administrative region of Suixi County.
On February 17, 1960, the Preparatory Office of Huaibei Coal Mine was changed to Suixi Mining Bureau.
On January 13, 1961, Suixi city was established by Xiangshan area of Xiaoxian county and northern area of Suixi County (Fangcheng brigade and Qugou brigade) and Suixi Mining Bureau. The people's Committee of Suixi city and Suixi County People's Committee worked together, and all Duji and Shuoli communes in the south of Xiaoxian County, four brigades in the west of Zhahe of Yongyu commune and seven brigades in the west of Zhahe of Wuzhuang commune were put under the jurisdiction of Suixi city (1960) On 16 April, the people's Committee of Anhui Province issued a notice; on 17 June, the suburb of Suixi city was established, governing three communes of Xiangshan, Duji and Gaoyue; on 4 August, the report of the people's Committee of Anhui Province was put on record; on 15 December, the 114th plenary meeting of the State Council decided to resume Suixi County, with some areas of Suixi city as the administrative region of Suixi County, and the northern part of Suixi County and Xiangshan area of Xiaoxian county and Suixi mine Suixi city was set up by the Bureau. In March 1961, Bengbu district was abolished and Suxian District was re established. Suixi County was restored to Suxian District of Anhui Province.
In 1965, the erlangmiao, Yangzhuang, Hongzhuang, Lieshan, Huangqiao and wushankou brigades of Renwei commune and Lieshan commune in Suixi County were under the jurisdiction of Suixi city.
On March 29, 1971, Suxian District was changed to Suxian District, and Suixi County was under the jurisdiction of Suxian District. On April 2, 1971, Suixi city was changed into Huaibei City.
On January 12, 1977, Suixi County was under the jurisdiction of Huaibei City.
From January to April in 1992, the district was withdrawn and the township was merged. Tulou township of Suixi County was put under the jurisdiction of Xiangshan district. Songtuan township of Suixi County was put under the jurisdiction of Lieshan district. Songtuan town was set up and nine district offices of Suixi County were abolished.
In 2000, Tiefo Township in Suixi County was abolished and Tiefo town was established.
On August 20, 2004, the people's Government of Anhui Province approved the abolition of Maqiao Township, Baisha Township and Renji town in Suixi County and merged them into Xincai Town, Wugou town and Nanping town respectively. At the same time, Xincai town of Suixi County is divided into Lieshan District of Huaibei City; three natural villages of Suixi County are divided into Xiangshan district; qingxiangqiao neighborhood committee and Hushan North Road Neighborhood Committee (north of the railway) of Suixi town are divided into the jurisdiction of sandaikou sub district office of Xiangshan District of Huaibei city.
In March 2006, the people's Government of Anhui Province approved the abolition of Chenji Township, Yangliu Township, Xulou Town, Yueji Township and Wupu township of Suixi County, which were merged into shuangduiji Town, Suntuan Town, Baishan Town, Tiefo town and Sipu Township respectively; the abolition of Qiji Town, in which 19 villages were merged into Linhuan town and 11 villages were merged into Hancun town; and the former two villages of Tiefo Town, Yangzhuang and Liugu, were merged into Liuqiao town. Zhonglou township of Suixi County is divided into Qugou town of Xiangshan District, Zhaoji township of Suixi County is merged with the former Gurao town to establish a new Gurao Town, and is also divided into Lieshan district.
In December 2012, with the approval of the Department of civil affairs of Anhui Province, Sipu township of Suixi County was abolished and Sipu town was established, with the same area, population and affiliation.
