Wangqing County, belonging to Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture of Jilin Province, is located in the east of Jilin Province, the northeast of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture and the junction of Jilin and Heilongjiang provinces. Historical evolution
In the early years of the Qing Dynasty, Wangqing area was closed to the forbidden area of Changbai Mountain, where the zhuohute family (surname Lang) of the kuyala tribe lived. They were hereditary assistant leaders and were stationed in dakanzi, Dongguang town. They were subordinate to general ningguta.
In 1881, Wangqing was under the jurisdiction of vice capital of Hunchun.
In 1902, it belonged to Yanji hall and later to Yanji mansion.
In 1910, Yanji and Hunchun set up Wangqing Administration Bureau, which was located in hasun station on the South Bank of Wangqing river.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Wang Qing set up a governing Bureau and was promoted to county governance.
In June of the third year of the Republic of China (1914), Jilin Province was divided into four roads, and Wangqing County was under the jurisdiction of Yanji Road.
In 1929, the Northeast government affairs committee was established, abolishing the road system, and the county was returned to the province directly under the central government. Wangqing County was directly under the jurisdiction of Jilin Province.
In December of 1934, the puppet Manchukuo changed to monarchy, implemented the reform of local administrative organs, added Jiandao provincial office, and transferred Wangqing County from Jilin Province to Jianli province.
In 1939, the northern part of Yanji county was included in the territory of Wangqing County.
In October of 1944, Jiandao area was under the jurisdiction of Dongman general province.
In 1945, Northeast China recovered. After the liberation of the whole northeast, the Northeast administrative committee was established and stationed in Shenyang. The Northeast was divided into six provinces, and Wangqing County was under the jurisdiction of Songjiang province.
After the establishment of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture in September 1953, Wangqing County was under the jurisdiction of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture.
