Historical evolution
Fuyu has a long history. As early as the early Western Han Dynasty, Fuyu state, the first local ethnic power tribe in Northeast China, was established here, which created a historical and cultural precedent in Northern Xinjiang.
In the Qing Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of Jilin general boduna and vice capital, and vice capital was stationed in boduna city. Boduna city is one of the seven important military towns in the early Qing Dynasty.
In 1682, boduna station was set up, which was an important passage from the west of general ningguta to Qiqihar city.
In 1693, a new city was built 20 miles south of boduna post station. It was named boduna new city (now Fuyu town), and a special city garrison was set up.
In 1811, boduna hall was set up and stationed in boduna new town. At the same time, a patrol inspector was set up and stationed in guyushutun (now Yushu City), which is subordinate to boduna hall.
On the 22nd of the first month of the 32nd year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (February 15, 1906), boduna hall was upgraded to new Chengfu, stationed in Xincheng, and was unified with the vice capital of boduna in the same city; guyushu village was transformed into Yushu County, led by Xincheng Fu. In April of the next year, the general was cut off and he was transferred to the northwest road of Jilin Province.
On June 2, 1909 (April 15, the first year of Xuantong in Qing Dynasty), it was approved to abolish boduna's vice governor.
After the founding of the Republic of China, it was changed into Xincheng County in the second year of the Republic of China (March 1913). It belongs to northwest road of Jilin Province. In the third year of the Republic of China (February 1914), it was renamed Fuyu County by order because of the same name as Xincheng County in Hebei and Shandong provinces. In June of the same year, northwest road was renamed Binjiang Road, belonging to Binjiang Road.
In the 18th year of the Republic of China (February 1929), the Taoist system was abolished and Jilin Province was directly under the central government.
In the 34th year of the Republic of China (November 1945), the Changbai detachment of Nenjiang column of the Northeast People's autonomous army entered Fuyu. In the 35th year of the Republic of China (February 1946), Fuyu County government was established, which was subordinate to Jijiang District Office of Ximan Bureau.
In April 1949, it was decided by the Northeast political committee to belong to Jilin Province. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, Fuyu still belongs to Jilin Province.
In February 1955, it belonged to Huaide District of Jilin Province; in November 1958, it belonged to Baicheng district. In November 1987, the county was changed into Fuyu city (county level), still under the jurisdiction of Baicheng district.
In June 1992, Songyuan City was established, and Fuyu city was changed into Fuyu District of Songyuan City, under the jurisdiction of Songyuan City.
In July 1995, Fuyu County was re established with the approval of the State Council. The county government is located in Sanchahe Town, which is still under the jurisdiction of Songyuan City.
