Huadian Huadian city is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Jilin City, Jilin Province. It is located in the southeast of Jilin Province, on the north side of Longgang mountains, on the upper reaches of the second Songhua River, bounded by Dunhua City in the East, Jingyu County, Fusong County and Huinan County in the South, Panshi City in the west, Yongji County and Jiaohe City in the north, covering an area of 6624 square kilometers.

Evolution of organizational system
Huadian is the hometown of the ancient Sushen tribe, and its descendants such as Nuzhen have lived and multiplied here.
In the first year of Kaiyuan (713) of Tang Dynasty, dazorong, the leader of Su Dynasty, was canonized as the general of zuoxiaowei, the governor of huhanzhou, and the prince of Bohai. Later generations called him Bohai, and the name of "Bohai State" came from it. His descendants, the 11th darenxiu and the 12th Dayi Zun (835), completed the establishment of more than 100 counties in 62 prefectures and 15 prefectures within their jurisdiction, becoming the prosperous state of Eastern Liaoning. Sumidianzi on the South Bank of the old Huifa River is an alluvial basin, where the Bohai State set up Changling Prefecture, Lingxia and Hezhou, and built sumidianzi ancient city. Huadian is the territory of Changling Prefecture of Bohai Dynasty.
In 1677, the Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty added Changbai Mountain as a sacrificial mountain, which was forbidden. Huadian is designated as the forbidden area of Caigong paddock, which is under the jurisdiction of the governor yamen of Daji Wula, known as Jiapigou. Yongji Prefecture was established in 1727, and Huadian was under the jurisdiction of Yongji Prefecture. In 1728, the West Bank of Songhua River in Huadian was under the jurisdiction of Yitong, and the east bank was under the jurisdiction of emuhesoro. In 1876, the wasteland around sumidianzi was opened. In 1902, Panshi county was set up to take over Huadian under the jurisdiction of Yitong Prefecture. In 1908, Huadian county was established. The southeast of Jilin Province is delimited, and the west of Panshi county is under the jurisdiction of Huadian county.
In October 1945, Huadian County democratic government was established and put under the jurisdiction of Jilin District Administrative Committee. Huadian county government is located in Huadian town. In December, Jilin provincial government was established. Huadian county is under the jurisdiction of Yongji District, Jilin Province.
In May 1946, Huadian county was occupied by Kuomintang troops. The democratic government withdrew from Huadian town and moved to the east of Songhua River; in July, it was under the jurisdiction of Jinan Special District of Jilin Province (the special office was stationed in Panshi), and the Kuomintang set up a county government in the county seat.
In May 1947, Huadian county was liberated. The Northeast Democratic Alliance Army recovered the whole territory of Huadian and established the Huadian county government.
On June 22, 1948, it was changed into a county directly under the central government of Jilin Province.
In 1949, after the founding of the people's Republic of China, Huadian county government changed its name to Huadian County People's government.
In 1955, Huadian County People's government was renamed Huadian County People's Committee.
On October 23, 1958, Huadian county directly under the central government of Jilin Province was changed into a county under the jurisdiction of Jilin City.
On January 10, 1966, Yongji district was established, and Huadian county was put under the jurisdiction of Yongji district.
In 1968, the people's Committee of Huadian county was abolished and the Revolutionary Committee of Huadian county was established. The commune management committee and Party committee were also renamed Revolutionary Committee.
On February 23, 1969, Yongji district was abolished and Huadian county was changed into a county under the jurisdiction of Jilin City.
In 1980, the Revolutionary Committee of Huadian county was abolished, and the people's Government of Huadian county was established.
On May 25, 1988, with the approval of the State Council, the county was removed and the city was established.
In March 2001, it was designated as the pilot project of medium-sized city construction by Jilin Municipal government, and some prefecture level administrative authorities were granted.

Huadian county was set up in 1908, which was under the jurisdiction of Jilin Prefecture. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, after the Qing Dynasty, the Republic of China, the Northeast occupied and the Kuomintang occupied period, until the founding of the people's Republic of China, the administrative division changes complicated.
In 1945, Dapu Chaihe village in Huadian county was put under the jurisdiction of Dunhua county. After the adjustment, Huadian county has jurisdiction over seven districts: Chengguan District, badaohezi District, Hengdaohezi District, Gongji District, HONGSHILAZI District, huashulinzi district and Jinsha district.
In May 1946, Huadian county was occupied by Kuomintang troops. The democratic government governs only two and a half districts: HONGSHILAZI District, huashulinzi district (half District) and Hengdaohezi district; the Kuomintang county government governs one town and four and a half townships. On June 22, 1948, Jiapigou district was established in the east of HONGSHILAZI, Changshan District in Changshan and Xinglong of Hengdaohezi District, and coal mine district in sumigou and fategou of Gongji district. Add the original 8 districts, a total of 11 districts.
In 1949, after the founding of the people's Republic of China, Hengdaohezi district was designated as Jiaohe County; Yushulin of Chengguan District and Yongji district were designated as suburban areas. There are still 11 districts under the jurisdiction of the county, and they are renamed according to the ordinal number.
In 1955, Huadian County People's government was renamed Huadian County People's Committee.
In 1956, three towns were established, namely Huadian, jichangzi and Jiapigou, which were divided into 30 townships.
In 1957, three towns, Huadian, jichangzi and Jiapigou, were still preserved. Three townships will be adjusted to 15 townships.
On October 23, 1958, 12 communes were established: Iron and steel (Huadian town), Jiapigou Town, badaohezi, Hengdaohezi, Changshan, Jinsha, huashulinzi, Erdaodianzi, HONGSHILAZI, daboji, sumigou, and yumuqiaozi. The commune integrates politics and society and administers 138 administrative areas.
In 1959, Baishan town was established by dividing Huiquanzhan and Xinglong in the west of Jiapigou, and Erdaodianzi commune was merged into huashulinzi commune. Three towns and nine communes.
In 1960, 14 brigades were separated from Huadian town to establish suburban commune. After the adjustment, Huadian County governs 3 towns and 10 communes.
In 1961, yumuqiaozi commune was merged into badaohezi commune. The former Erdaodianzi commune was divided from birch Linzi commune and Erdaodianzi commune was established. After the adjustment, Huadian county still has 3 towns and 10 communes.
In 1962, yumuqiaozi commune was divided from badaohezi commune to establish yumuqiaozi commune; beitaizi commune was established from suburban commune, and erdaohezi commune was established from dabuji commune. After adjustment, there are 13 communes in total.
In 1964, six brigades were divided from Jiapigou to establish laojinchang commune.
In 1965, Erdaodianzi commune was changed into Erdaodianzi Town, and muqihe commune was established.
On February 23, 1969, Erdaodianzi town was merged with muqihe commune. Called Erdaodianzi commune. After the adjustment, Huadian County governs 3 towns and 14 communes.
In 1980, Huadian County governed 3 towns and 14 communes, including 196 production teams and 1112 production teams.
In 1981, Erdaodianzi commune was divided into Erdaodianzi town and muqihe commune. The county governs 4 towns and 14 communes.
In 1983, Huadian County governs four towns: Huadian, Jiapigou, Baishan and Erdaodianzi. It has 16 streets and 18 neighborhood committees. 14 communes were changed into 14 townships. Each village governs a street and 163 villagers' committees.
In 1984, badaohezi, Changshan, yumuqiaozi and HONGSHILAZI were changed into towns. There are 8 towns and 10 townships in the county. It has jurisdiction over 17 sub district offices, 72 communities and 181 villages.
On May 25 and August 26, 1988, with the approval of the people's Government of Jilin Province, Huadian town was abolished and five streets, Qixin, Xinhua, Minghua, Shengli and Yongji, were set up.
On November 21, 1992, with the approval of Jilin Provincial People's government, laojinchang Township in Huadian city was abolished and laojinchang town was established.
In December 1995, Huadian city had jurisdiction over 5 streets, 8 towns, 8 townships, 114 communities and 179 villages.
