Pengxi County, the old revolutionary base of China, is now subordinate to Suining City, Sichuan Province. It is located in the east of the central part of Sichuan Basin. It is adjacent to Chuanshan District, Shehong City, Daying County, wusheng County of Guang'an City, Jialing district and Xichong County of Nanchong City, and Tongnan District and Hechuan District of Chongqing city. The county covers an area of 1251 square kilometers, a total of 1 Street office, 17 towns, 2 townships. The county government is located in Chicheng town. Pengxi county is the seclusion place of Yan Junping, a famous Taoist in the late Western Han Dynasty, and the ancestral place of Xi Shu, the Prime Minister of Ming Dynasty, Zhang penghe, the Prime Minister of Qing Dynasty, and Zhang Wentao, the great poet. The origin of place names
In Pengxi County, Baxing county was established in the 11th year of Yonghe (335) of the Eastern Jin Dynasty. After several changes of name, it was separated and combined with neighboring counties. In the first year of Tang Tianbao (742), tangxing county was changed to Pengxi County, and its name is still used today. According to Taiping Huanyu Ji of the Northern Song Dynasty: "Pengxi County It is named after Pengxi. "Pengxi county annals" (Daoguang Edition) said: "Pengxi county is famous for its water.". The dictionary of ancient and modern place names in China (published by the commercial press of the Republic of China) is also known as "Pengxi county has its name". History of Jianxian County
Pengxi county is the land of Shu state in Xia, Shang and Zhou dynasties, and Shu County in Qin Dynasty.
In the sixth year of emperor Gaozu of Han Dynasty (201 BC), Guanghan county was divided into Ba and Shu counties. Today, Pengxi county belongs to Guanghan county (tongquanba, Tuopai Town, Shehong County), Guanghan county (Liushu Town, Shehong County) and Qi county (Qijiang Township, Santai County).
At the end of the Western Han Dynasty, Pengxi county is still under the jurisdiction of the people's Republic of China.
In the Eastern Han Dynasty, Liu Xiu's regime restored Yizhou, Guanghan county and Guanghan county. At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, it cut Guanghan county to the South and set up Deyang county (now Suining City). Today, Pengxi county is divided into Guanghan, Deyang and Qi counties.
In the second year of Jianxing (224) in Shuhan of the Three Kingdoms, Guanghan county was divided into dongguanghan county. Now Pengxi county belongs to Guanghan County, Deyang county and Qi county.
In the sixth year of Taikang in the Western Jin Dynasty (285), Guanghan county was abolished and restored.
In the first year of Yongning (301), Emperor Huidi of the Western Jin Dynasty divided Guanghan County into Deyang county (the county governs today's Suining Doucheng), which is now Deyang county.
In the third year of Yonghe (347) of emperor mu of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Huanwen Pingshu, Deyang county was renamed Suining County, and its jurisdiction remained unchanged.
In the 11th year of Yonghe reign of emperor mu in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (355), Baxing county was located in the east of Qi county and Guanghan County, and in the area near fu and Qi rivers. Lingjiu mountain is set up in the county. Today, Pengxi county began to set up county governance.
Emperor Xiaowu (373-396) was divided into Guanghan county and Jinxing county (now Yuxi Town, Tongnan County) and subordinate to Suining County. Today, Pengxi county is located in Baxing, Jinxing and Deyang counties of Suining County.
In 469, Suining County was divided into East Suining County and West Suining County. Today, Pengxi county is still under the jurisdiction of Baxing County, Deyang county and Jinxing county.
During the period of Xiaoliang (502-534), Deyang county was renamed Xiaoxi county. Today, the county is subordinate to Baxing, Jinxing and Xiaoxi counties in East Suining County of Xinzhou.
In the second year of Gongdi (555) of the Western Wei Dynasty, Huaihua county was divided into eastern Suining County and Jinxing county was changed into Shixing County and Xiaoxi County into Fangyi county. The county belongs to Shixing County of Huaihua county and Fangyi County of Dongning Sui County.
In 557, Emperor Xiaomin of the Northern Zhou Dynasty set up Suizhou in East Suining County, which was changed into Shishan county. Suizhou, Shishan county and Fangyi county were governed by Suining City. The county was under the jurisdiction of Fangyi County in Shishan County of Suizhou and Shixing County in Huaihua county.
Sui kaihuang three years (583), the withdrawal of the county to stay in the state, to state jurisdiction County, Huaihua County, Shishan county was the province.
In the 18th year of kaihuang (598), Shixing County was renamed as Qingshi County, and its territory was Qingshi county and Fangyi County of Suizhou.

In 693, tangxing county was renamed Wufeng county.
In 705, Wufeng county was renamed tangxing county.
In the second year of Tang Jinglong (708), Tang'an county was set up in the north of tangxing County, and the tea shop in Chicheng town was set up in the county.
In the first year of Kaiyuan (713) of Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty, Tang'an county was abolished and tang'xing county was moved to the chadianzi of Chicheng Town, the seat of Tang'an county.
In the first year of Tang Tianbao (742), tangxing county was changed into Pengxi county. The name of the county comes from the Pengxi River. Suizhou was renamed Suining County. Pengxi county is subordinate to Suining County of Jiannan road.
In the second year of Shangyuan (761), Emperor suzong of Tang Dynasty, the county government of the Yangtze River moved to fenghuangchuan (now changjiangba, Huima Town, Daying county). Today Pengxi county belongs to Suizhou Pengxi and Changjiang counties.
In the Five Dynasties and the early Northern Song Dynasty, Sichuan was successively occupied by the former Shu (907-924), the latter Tang (925-933) and the latter Shu (934-965), and the county was established as in the late Tang Dynasty.
In 965, Jiannan road was changed to Xichuan road.
In 1001, Sichuan Province was divided into Yizhou, Zizhou, Lizhou and Kuizhou, and Zizhou road.
In the first year of Xining reign of emperor Shenzong of Song Dynasty (1073), Qingshi county (today's Tongnan) entered Pengxi county. The next year (1074), Qingshi county was restored.
In 1115, Suining Prefecture was renamed Suining Prefecture.
In the third year of Duanping (1236) of the Southern Song Dynasty, the Mongolian army entered Sichuan, and the Suining government moved to Pengxi village, Pengxi county.
In 1282, Changjiang County was merged into Pengxi county. The county is subordinate to Suining Prefecture, Tongchuan Prefecture, xingzhongshu Province, Sichuan Province.
In the ninth year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1376), Suining Prefecture was reduced to Suining County, and Pengxi was changed to Tongchuan Prefecture. The next year, Pengxi county was merged into Suining County.
In 1380, Pengxi county was restored and the area on the left bank of the Fujiang River in Qingshi county was assigned to Pengxi county.
In 1653, Suining County was merged into Pengxi county.
In 1660, Suining County was restored.
In 1730, Pengxi was under the jurisdiction of Tongchuan Prefecture, the governor of Sichuan Province.
In 1802, five roads were set up in Sichuan. Pengxi was subordinate to tongchuanfu, the North Road of Sichuan, until the end of Qing Dynasty.
In the second year of the Republic of China (1913), Sichuan was divided into seven roads, and Pengxi county was still North Sichuan Road.
In the third year of the Republic of China, the number of roads in Sichuan was changed from seven to five, and Pengxi belonged to Jialing Road.
In the 24th year of the Republic of China, Sichuan was divided into 18 administrative supervision districts. Pengxi was subordinate to the 12th administrative supervision district in Suining.
Pengxi was liberated on December 10, 1949.
On January 5, 1950, the county people's government was established, which is subordinate to the Suining District Office of the northern Sichuan administrative office.
In September 1952, the four administrative offices of Eastern Sichuan, Western Sichuan, northern Sichuan and southern Sichuan were merged into Sichuan Province, Suining district was changed into Suining special district, and Pengxi was subordinate to Suining special district.
In 1958, Suining district was abolished and Pengxi county was assigned to Mianyang district.
In September 1968, Mianyang area was renamed Mianyang area.
