Laishui County, belonging to Baoding City, Hebei Province, is located in the west of the central part of Hebei Province and the north end of the eastern foot of Taihang Mountain. In the spring of 1938, the Anti Japanese democratic government of Shanxi Chahar Hebei border area was established. According to the topography of Laishui, the area was divided into three parts, and the mountainous area was called laizhuo county.
In September 1940, Sanpo district under the jurisdiction of former Zhuo county was assigned to Laishui County, and laizhuo County resumed the title of Laishui county.
