Taipusi Banner is a banner of Xilin Gol League in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. "Taipusi" has a long history. As early as the spring and Autumn period, there was a "Taipusi" official in charge of Royal Horse control and horse administration, and one of the nine ministers in Qin and Han Dynasties.

Taipusi Banner is located in the northern foot of Yinshan Mountain, in the southern edge of Hunshandake sandy land, with an altitude of 1300-1800 meters, which belongs to a moderate temperature and sub arid continental climate. Baochang Town, the seat of the banner government, is 149 kilometers away from Zhangjiakou and 350 kilometers away from Beijing. It is one of the nearest counties in the autonomous region to Beijing.

In 2012, Taipusi Banner achieved a GDP of 3.7 billion yuan, of which the added value of the primary industry was 990 million yuan, the added value of the secondary industry was 1.53 billion yuan, and the added value of the tertiary industry was 1.18 billion yuan.

Historical evolution

Taipusi Banner was the territory of Xiongnu in Han Dynasty.

During the period of the Three Kingdoms, it belonged to Cao Wei.

The Sui and Tang dynasties belong to Xianbei.

In the Jin Dynasty, it belonged to Xuande Prefecture of Changzhou at the beginning. In the middle third year (1262), it belonged to Shangdu Road, where it was set up as a salt envoy.

Yuan Dynasty, Yanyou six years (1319) changed to Xinghe road Baochang state.

In the Ming Dynasty, it belonged to the pastoral area of Chahar tribe in Mongolia.

In the Qing Dynasty, Taipusi left-wing ranch was set up.

In the seventh year of the Republic of China (1918), the eastern Zhengbai banner and the left-wing Ranch set up Baochang Reclamation Bureau; in the fourteenth year of the Republic of China (1925), Baochang county was set up, belonging to Chahar province; in the twenty sixth year of the Republic of China (1937), the left-wing ranch was set up, belonging to the left banner of Taipusi, belonging to Chahar League.

After the founding of the people's Republic of China, in 1956, Baochang County merged with Taipusi Left Banner to establish Taipusi Banner.

On March 4, 2020, the people's Government of the autonomous region agreed to withdraw from the poverty-stricken banner county sequence.
