Zixi County, subordinate to Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the east of central Jiangxi Province, east of Fuzhou City, east of Guangze County, Fujian Province, south of Lichuan County, west of Nancheng County, northwest of Jinxi County, northeast of Guixi City. Zixi County was founded in the sixth year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1578), when it was named Luxi County. In 1914, it was changed to Zixi County because it had the same name as Luxi County in Hunan Province. Zixi is the hometown of bread in China. There are more than 7000 bakeries all over the country, and they are also distributed in Russia, Vietnam, Hong Kong and other places. Zixi County has Jiangxi Matoushan National Nature Reserve, Qingliangshan National Forest Park, Jiulong Lake National Wetland Park, South China tiger wild release base and other national business cards.

Historical evolution
Zixi County belongs to Wu in spring and autumn. In the third year of King Zhou Ping (473 BC), Yue destroyed Wu and became Yue. In the 46th year of King Xian of Zhou Dynasty (323 BC), King Wei of Chu conquered Yue and took Wu's hometown, so it belonged to Chu.
In the 26th year of the first emperor of Qin Dynasty (221 BC), it was divided into 36 counties, belonging to Jiujiang county.
In the sixth year of emperor Gaozu of Han Dynasty (201 BC), Nancheng county was established in the south of Yuzhang County, and Zixi was under the jurisdiction of Nancheng county.
During the Three Kingdoms period, Zixi belonged to Wu Kingdom.
In the Sui Dynasty, Zixi belonged to Fuzhou county.
In the first year of Zhenguan (627), the world was divided into ten roads, and Fuzhou belonged to Jiangnan Road; in the 21st year of Kaiyuan (733), the world was divided into fifteen roads, and Fuzhou belonged to Jiangnan Road; in the Southern Tang Dynasty of the Five Dynasties, a military force was set up in the south of the city, which belonged to Fuzhou.
In the third year of Taiping's rejuvenation of the state in the Northern Song Dynasty (978), the military army was rebuilt into Jianchang army. In the fourth year of Yuanfeng (1018), the Jianchang army set up the inspection envoy of Fu Jiandu in Luxi, the northeast of Nancheng, which was the reason of Yuan Dynasty.
In the third year of Hongwu (1371) of Ming Dynasty, the inspector general of Luxi capital was changed to the inspector general of Luxi capital, with one inspector; in the sixth year of Wanli (1578), Wang Zhiping, the magistrate of Jianchang Prefecture, and fan Lai, the magistrate of Nancheng County, proposed that the inspector general should be changed to the county government, and the 56 to 72 capitals of Nancheng should be set up in Luxi County.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), Jiangxi Province was divided into four roads, and Luxi belonged to Yuzhang road; in the third year of the Republic of China (1914), Luxi was renamed Zixi.

In the middle of the county, there is a uplift belt along Yunfeng, shiziyan, tianzisheng and 36feng, which divides the whole county into two parts. In the northeast of China, there are many mountains in the East, the West and the south. The main peaks are Hedong peak, Huangliankeng, Yuefeng mountain, yejiting, paijiansheng, ploughhead tip and bijiajian, with an altitude of more than 1000 meters. Between the mountains are two large valleys, Luyang and Gaofu. The winding Luxi river passes through the county from south to north. Wuyishan branch and chuyunfeng in the northeast border of the western part incline to the southwest, and the terrain gradually flattens, forming mountainous and hilly areas.
