On September 12, 1955, Nancha (District 2) was renamed Nancha town. At the same time, Haolianghe town (village level) was set up from Nancha.

In November 1957, Nancha town was renamed Nancha District, which belongs to Yichun city.

In March 1960, Nancha district was renamed Nancha people's commune.
