The origin of the name
Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty set up Zhaowu county. In Jin Dynasty, it was changed to Linze County. According to the summary of history reading Fang Yu, the ancient Zhangye river flows through Xiakou and into Juyanhai, which is also called juyanze because it is named linjuyanze.
Historical evolution
Linze County was a territory of Yongzhou in ancient times.
During the Zhou and Qin Dynasties, Wusun and Yueshi were stationed as herdsmen.
In the Western Han Dynasty, it was a herding land of Xiongnu. In the sixth year of Yuanding (111 BC), Emperor Wu of the Western Han dynasty built four counties in Hexi. Zhaowu county was set up in the county, because Zhaowu city was built when Yueshi was stationed in the county, and Hanxian county was named because of it. It was subordinate to Zhangye county. In the first year of the founding of the people's Republic of China (9 BC), Wang Mang abolished the Han Dynasty and established a new one, and changed Zhaowu county to Quwu county. In the fifth year of Jianwu of the Eastern Han Dynasty (29 BC), Quwu county was changed to Zhaowu county.

In 265, Emperor Wu of Jin Dynasty changed Zhaowu county to Linze County instead of Sima Zhao; in 397, Emperor an set linchi County as Linze County; in 401, Emperor an abolished linchi county.
In 449, the county was merged in Yongping (now Zhangye) county and Linze County.
In the second year of Zong Guangde (764) of Tang Dynasty, the Tibetan ruled Ganzhou, and the county belonged to Tubo; in the 13th year of Xiantong (872) of Yizong, it was occupied by Uighur.
Song Dynasty was ruled by Xixia.
Yuan belongs to Ganzhou road.
In the Ming Dynasty, it was the right defensive area of Ganzhou.
In 1750, the Fuyi branch of Ganzhou prefecture (Fuyi Hall) was set up and the Fuyi people (today's liaoquan) were under the jurisdiction of Ganzhou Prefecture.
In the second year of the Republic of China (1913), the Department was changed into a county, belonging to Ganliang road; in the 18th year of the Republic of China (1929), Fuyi county was changed into Linze County, belonging to the sixth administrative supervision area of Gansu Province.

Linze County is an important part of Zhangye basin. It has steep Qilian Mountains in the south, heli mountains in the north and flat corridor plain in the middle. The terrain is high in the north and south, low in the middle, and gradually inclines from southeast to northwest. It can be divided into three types: the Qilian Mountains in the south, the corridor plain formed by the alluvial of Heihe River System in the middle, and the denuded residual mountain area of Heli mountain in the north. The altitude is 1380-2278m, the highest is 2278m (xinfengyang mountain), and the lowest is 1380m (liaoquan mountain). The northern Heli mountain, also known as Beida mountain, is the remnant of Tianshan Mountain. The mountain is not high and the terrain is gentle. The elevation of the peak is between 1500-2000 meters, and the relative elevation difference is only 200-300 meters. It is a low mountain area of drought erosion. The central corridor plain is high in the East, South and North, and low in the northwest, with an altitude of 1600-1380m.
