Zhashui County, Zhashui County, belongs to Shangluo City, Shaanxi Province. It is located in the south of Shaanxi Province, between 108 ° 50 ′~ 109 ° 410 ′ E and 33 ° 20 ′~ 34 ° n. It borders Shangzhou District and Shanyang County in the East, Zhen'an County in the south, Ningshan County in the West and Chang'an and Lantian County in the north, with a total area of 2332 square kilometers. In the Qin Dynasty (221-206 BC), the county system was implemented in 221 BC. During the Western Han Dynasty (206-25 BC), the northwest of Zhashui was under the jurisdiction of duling county (renamed Qindu county) of jingzhaoyin; the Northeast was under the jurisdiction of Lantian County of jingzhaoyin; and the southeast was under the jurisdiction of Xunyang County of Hanzhong county.
During the Eastern Han Dynasty (25-220), the northwest of Zhashui was under the jurisdiction of duling County of jingzhaoyin; the Northeast was under the jurisdiction of Lantian County of jingzhaoyin; and the southeast was under the jurisdiction of Shangluo Marquis state of jingzhaoyin.
During the Three Kingdoms period (220-280), the northwest of Zhashui was under the jurisdiction of Du county (renamed as duling County in Han Dynasty) in Jingzhao County of Weiyong Prefecture; the Northeast was under the jurisdiction of Lantian County in Jingzhao County of Weiyong Prefecture; and the southeast was under the jurisdiction of Xi county (renamed as Xunyang County in Han Dynasty) in Weixing County of Jingzhou.
In the Jin Dynasty (265-420), the northwest of Zhashui was under the jurisdiction of Ducheng county (renamed as Ducheng County in Caowei); the Northeast was under the jurisdiction of Lantian County in Jingzhao County of Yongzhou; and the southeast was under the jurisdiction of Fengyang County in Shangluo County of Sizhou.
During the northern and Southern Dynasties (420-589), due to the split situation in China, the disorder of administrative system, the prevalence of overseas Chinese, the establishment of prefectures and counties in the dynasty, the abolition of the night, the name of redundant, complex, and lack of records. The dynasties recorded are as follows: during the Northern Wei Dynasty (386-534), the northwest and northeast of Zhashui were under the jurisdiction of Shanbei County in Jingzhao County of Yongzhou (divided into Ducheng and Lantian counties in 431); the southeast was under the jurisdiction of Fengyang County in Shangyong County of Luozhou. During the Western Wei Dynasty (535-556), Wannian County in Jingzhao County of Yongzhou was in the northwest and northeast of Zhashui (in 505, Wannian county was set up in Chang'an, Bacheng and Shanbei counties); Fengyang County in Shangyong County of Luozhou was in the southeast. During the Northern Zhou Dynasty (557-581), the northwest and northeast of Zhashui were still under the jurisdiction of Wannian County in Jingzhao County of Yongzhou, and the southeast was under the jurisdiction of Fengyang County in Shangyong County of Shangzhou (changed Luozhou to Shangzhou in 578).
In Sui Dynasty (581-618), the northwest of Zhashui was under the jurisdiction of Daxing County in Jingzhao county (Wannian county was removed in 583 and Daxing County was established); the Northeast was under the jurisdiction of Lantian County in Jingzhao County; and the southeast was under the jurisdiction of Fengyang County in Shangluo county (Shangluo County was established in 607).
In the Tang Dynasty (618-907), the northwest of Zhashui was under the jurisdiction of Wannian County of Jingzhao Prefecture of Guannei Prefecture; the Northeast was under the jurisdiction of Lantian County of Jingzhao Prefecture of Guannei Prefecture; and the southeast was under the jurisdiction of Fengyang County of Shangzhou. In the Five Dynasties (907-960), the northwest of Zhashui was under the jurisdiction of Danian County of Jingzhao prefecture (changed Wannian County of Tang Dynasty to Danian County in 911); the Northeast was under the jurisdiction of Lantian County of Jingzhao Prefecture; and the southeast was still Qianyuan county. The Later Liang Dynasty, the later Tang Dynasty and the later Jin Dynasty were all under the jurisdiction of Shangzhou. In the second year of Qianyou (949) of the later Han Dynasty, it was changed into Qianyou County, which was under the jurisdiction of Jingzhao Prefecture.
During the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127), the northwest part of Zhashui was under the jurisdiction of Danian County, jingzhaofu, Yongxing military road. In 1125, Danian county was changed to Fanchuan county. The northeast is under the jurisdiction of Lantian County, Jingzhao Prefecture, Yongxing military road; the southeast is still Qianyou County, which is also under the jurisdiction of Jingzhao Prefecture, Yongxing military road.
In the Southern Song Dynasty and Jin Dynasty (1127-1279), the northwest part of Zhashui was a Jin territory, which belonged to Xianning County in jingzhaofu Road (changed Fanchuan to Xianning in 1181); Lantian County in the Northeast was jingzhaofu Road, which belonged to jingzhaofu; Qianyou County in the southeast was abolished in 1154. Today, Hongyan temple, wafangkou, majiatai, MUJIAZHUANG, Zhangjiaping and huangtoubian in Hongyan Temple district are merged into Shangluo County, which is under the jurisdiction of Shangzhou County in Jinjing Zhaofu road; xialiang, shiweng, Dujiacun, Caoping and Fengzhen are all under the jurisdiction of Xunyang County in Jinzhou in Southern Song Dynasty.
In the Yuan Dynasty (1206-1368), in 1276, Qianyou inspection department was set up in Qianyou County, and it was under the jurisdiction of Shangzhou, Shanxi Province. In 1292, Qianyou county was reestablished, still under the jurisdiction of Shangzhou in Fengyuan road; Xianning County in Shaanxi and other places in xingzhongshu Province in the northwest; Lantian County in Shaanxi and other places in xingzhongshu Province in the northeast.
In the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), the northwest of Zhashui was under the jurisdiction of Xianning County of Xi'an Prefecture; the Northeast was under the jurisdiction of Lantian County of Xi'an Prefecture; in the southeast, Zhenan county was set up in 1452, the third year of Jingtai, which was originally under the jurisdiction of Xi'an Prefecture, and it was changed to Shangzhou in March 1477.
In the Qing Dynasty (1616-1911), Xiaoyi hall was set up in Xianning, Lantian and Zhen'an counties in 1783 (including Dongchuan and Taibai districts of today's Zhen'an, but excluding zhashuifeng District of today's Zhashui), which was directly under the jurisdiction of Xi'an Prefecture of Xi'an Prefecture of Xi'an Qianlong road in Shaanxi Province.
During the period of the Republic of China (1912-1949), today's Zhashui County was set up as Xiaoyi County in 1913. In 1914, it was renamed as Zhashui County after the name of ancient Zhashui (Qianyou River) and was under the jurisdiction of the four district inspector general's office of Shaanxi Province.
After the founding of the people's Republic of China, the people's Government of Zhashui County was established on December 1, 1949, under the jurisdiction of Shangluo District Commissioner's office of Shaanxi Province. In March 1950, xialiang, shiweng, Dujiacun and Caoping, which were originally in Zhen'an, were classified as Zhashui. In 1956, Gaoqiao and Wanqing under the jurisdiction of Lantian were assigned to Zhashui. In December 1958, the county system was abolished and merged into Zhen'an County. In September 1961, Dongchuan District and Taibai district were divided into Zhenan district and Fengzhen district was divided into Zhashui district.
