Jiali County, located in the southeast of Naqu City, Tibet Autonomous Region of China, is located between Tanggula Mountain and nyainqentangla mountain, with east longitude of 91 ° 09 ′ - 94 ° 01 ′, north latitude of 31 ° 07 ′ - 32 ° 00 ′. The rivers in the west of Jiali County belong to the upper reaches of Lhasa River, while the rivers in the East belong to the upper reaches of Yigong Zangbu river.
The climate in the East is special: the warm and humid air of the Indian Ocean flows up the Yigong Zangbo River Valley to the southern foot of Nyainqentanglha mountains in Jiali County, conveying a lot of precious water, and the East is close to the scenery of Bomi county.

Historical evolution
Jiali means "La Ri" in Tibetan and "Shenshan" in Tibetan. In the early years of the Republic of China, the gaxia local government of Tibet established a clan in Jiali. Jializong Liberation Committee was established in 1952. In late July 1959, Jiali Zong was changed to Jiali county. On January 7, 1960, Jiali county was under the jurisdiction of Linzhi special office. In June 1964, Linzhi special office was revoked and Jiali county was put under the jurisdiction of Naqu district.
