Qingxian County, which is subordinate to Cangzhou City, Hebei Province, is located in the east of North China Plain, adjacent to Cangzhou in the South and Beijing and Tianjin in the north, with superior location and convenient transportation. Beijing Shanghai railway, Beijing Shanghai high speed railway, Beijing Shanghai Expressway, national highway 104, Tianjin Baotou highway, Canglang Expressway and other traffic trunk lines pass through the territory, and the Beijing Hangzhou Grand Canal runs through the north and south.
The county covers an area of 968 square kilometers and has a population of 390000 (in 2004). As of 2016, it has jurisdiction over 7 towns, 3 townships and 1 farm, with a total of 14 community neighborhood committees, 345 administrative villages and 5 sub farms. The county government is located at No. 1, Zhenxing Road, Qingzhou town.
In 2013, the GDP of Qingnian county was 15.8 billion yuan, the total fiscal revenue was 1.18 billion yuan, and the public budget revenue was 465 million yuan. In September 2020, it will be included in the list of food industry strong counties (cities, districts) in Hebei Province.
Historical evolution
Today's Qingxian County was established as Shenhu County in the period of emperor Gaodi of Han Dynasty. It was successively called Changlu County, Lutai army, qianning army, Yong'an County, qianning county and Huichuan county.
Ming Hongwu eight years (1375) began to call Qingxian. In 1928, the Dao system was abolished, and Qingxian County was directly under Hebei Province. During the Anti Japanese war from 1937 to 1943, the Japanese puppet regime in Qingxian County was called Qingxian government office. In 1943, it was renamed the county government and was subordinate to the puppet Hebei provincial government office in jinhaido. From 1945 to 1947, the Qing county government of the Kuomintang was subordinate to Cangzhou, Hebei Province.
In December 1939, the Qingxian Committee of the Communist Party of China was established, which was subordinate to the three prefectural committees of Jizhong district (in August 1940, the three prefectural committees of Jizhong district were renamed as eight prefectural committees, the three prefectural committees were renamed as eight prefectural committees, and the Qingxian County Committee was renamed as eight prefectural committees). It was withdrawn in May 1942.
In July 1944, the eight prefectural Party committees decided to set up the working committee of Qingxian County, which was stationed in Sizhuang village. In the same year, qingcangjiao county was built with Cangxian county and Jiaohe contiguous area. In June 1945, Qingxian County Party committee was restored and stationed in houzhaoguan village. In 1946, he was stationed in donghaopo village.
Qingxian County was liberated on June 14, 1947. In November, the CPC Cangzhou prefectural committee decided to abolish the Qingxian County Committee and set up the Qingxian County Working Committee to be stationed in houzhaoguan village. In the spring of 1948, Qingxian County Party committee was restored. In November, the county Party committee moved to the county seat.
On August 1, 1949, after the establishment of the people's Government of Hebei Province, Qingxian County was subordinate to the office of Cangxian County inspector general of the people's Government of Hebei Province.
In November 1952, Qingxian County was assigned to Tianjin special area.
In June 1958, after Tianjin belonged to Hebei Province, Cangxian district was merged with Tianjin District, which was called Tianjin District, and the special office was located in Tianjin.
On November 1, 1958, the people's Committee of Hebei Province approved the abolition of the establishment of Qingxian County and merged it into Jinghai County, which belongs to Tianjin special area.
On June 1, 1961, Cangzhou district was restored, and Qingxian County was restored to Cangzhou district.
On April 5, 1986, Qingxian County was transferred to Cangzhou City. In July 1993, Cangzhou Prefecture and city merged into Cangzhou City, and Qingxian County was subordinate to Cangzhou City.

As of 2009, the number of cattle, pigs, sheep, chickens and other livestock and poultry in Qingnian county has reached 3.78 million, and the total output value of animal husbandry has reached 1 billion yuan.
