Beizhen Beizhen City, belonging to Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province, is located in the west of Liaoning Province and the east foot of Yiwulu. There were human activities in the Neolithic Age in Beizhen area. In the Liao Dynasty, Beizhen was under the jurisdiction of Tokyo Road, with two prefectures, Qian and Xian. In the Jin Dynasty, Shengxian Prefecture was Guangning Prefecture, and Guangning County, Tongyang County, Zhongxiu county and Wangping county were unified. In the second year of the Republic of China (1913), it was renamed Beizhen county because of its duplicate name with Guangning County in Guangdong Province. On March 21, 1995, with the approval of the State Council, Beizhen Manchu Autonomous County was changed into Beining City. On February 8, 2006, with the approval of the State Council, Beining City was changed into Beizhen city. The 102 National Road and Beijing Shenyang Railway run through the East and west of Beizhen city.
In 2018, Beizhen achieved a GDP of 11.29 billion yuan, of which the added value of the primary industry was 4.03 billion yuan, the added value of the secondary industry was 1.69 billion yuan, and the added value of the tertiary industry was 5.57 billion yuan. In the Western Zhou Dynasty, it was the fiefdom of the state of Yan. In the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, the state of Yan was dominant, and it belonged to Liaodong County of the state of Yan.
In the Qin Dynasty, it still belonged to Liaodong County, which ruled Xiangping (now Liaoyang).
In the Western Han Dynasty, Wuwu county was set up in Beizhen, and Duwei mansion in the west of Liaodong county was built in the area, which belonged to the History Department of Youzhou.
In the Eastern Han Dynasty, Wuwu County belonged to Liaodong county at the beginning, and it belonged to Liaodong Kingdom when Han an emperor moved it.
In the Three Kingdoms, Beizhen belongs to Changli County of weiyouzhou.
The Western Jin Dynasty belongs to Changli County of Pingzhou.
During the period of the Sixteen States, there was no great change in the local administrative region of Beizhen. The former Yan was established by Murong cystis, the former Qin by Fu Jian, and the later Yan by Murong Chui. All of them were located in Xile county. Fengba established Beiyan and set up Xile county (Liaohai series, Volume 4, Shengjing territory Research).

In the Yuan Dynasty, guangningfu road was set up, under the jurisdiction of Luyang and Wangping counties.
In the Ming Dynasty, the military guard system was implemented. Guangning guard was set up in the city, and then Guangning left, middle and right three guards were built, becoming an important military town in Liaodong. There is Zhendong hall in Guangning City, which is the "meeting house" for the governor, eunuch and chief military officer of Liaodong. It is the highest military and political organ in Northeast China.
In 1664, Guangning Prefecture was set up to unify Ningyuan Prefecture, Jinxian county and Guangning County. The next year, Guangning County was under the jurisdiction of Jinzhou Prefecture. In 1907, the Qing government set up a governor to govern the three northeast provinces, and Guangning was under the jurisdiction of Jinzhou Prefecture of Fengtian province.
In the second year of the Republic of China (1913), it was renamed Beizhen county because of its duplicate name with Guangning County in Guangdong Province. On December 29, 1928, Zhang Xueliang changed his banner in Northeast China, obeyed the Nanjing government, changed Fengtian province into Liaoning Province, and Beizhen County belonged to Liaoning Province. In 1932, Beizhen County belonged to Fengtian province. In 1934, the Northeast was divided into 14 provinces, and Beizhen County belonged to Jinzhou province. After the victory of the ninth three year plan in 1945, the working committee of Beizhen County of the Communist Party of China established the Beizhen county government under the direction of the western Liaoning provincial Party committee. In December of the same year, Kuomintang troops occupied Beizhen and established Beizhen county government, which was under the jurisdiction of Liaoning Province. In January 1948, Guangning town was liberated and Beizhen County provisional government was established. In February, the whole county was liberated and Beizhen County People's government was established under the jurisdiction of Northern Liaoning Province.
In May 1949, Beizhen County belonged to western Liaoning Province. On October 1, the people's Republic of China was founded, and Beizhen county government is still called Beizhen County People's government.
In April 1954, Liaodong and Liaoxi provinces merged into Liaoning Province, and Beizhen county belongs to Liaoning Province.
In April 1955, Beizhen County People's government was changed to Beizhen County People's Committee.
In 1956, Liaoning Province set up a commissioner's office in Jinzhou. Beizhen county belongs to Jinzhou district.
In 1966, during the "Cultural Revolution", the Beizhen County Revolutionary Committee was established, which was subordinate to the Jinzhou Revolutionary Committee.
In 1979, it was renamed Beizhen County People's government.
On June 29, 1989, with the approval of the State Council, Beizhen county was changed into Beizhen Manchu Autonomous County.

In 1683, Guangning County was divided into 18 communities. Later, the flag soldiers were stationed in the county, and the county was divided into 62 boundaries. In 1902-1905, a large area of land in the southeast, northeast and southwest of the county was divided into 34 districts. They are four districts in the city, four districts in the suburbs, five districts in the East Road, eight districts in the South Road, six districts in the West Road and seven districts in the North Road. The second year of Xuantong (1910) the establishment of the autonomous society, the city and suburbs to Chengxiang, the village set up four towns and three townships. In 1951, Goubangzi town was added, and the former Fifth District government moved to Zhaotun.
In 1952, Yanyang was added as the Ninth District, and the original 192 peasant associations were adjusted to 167 villages and 7 Street committees.

On September 15, 1958, the whole county merged 24 senior communes and two towns into seven people's communes, namely Guangning, Zheng'an, Zhong'an, qingduizi, Goubangzi, Changxing and luoluobao. It has 99 administrative areas (renamed brigade in 1959).
In April 1960, qingduizi animal husbandry farm was established in the East Railway of Beizhen county and the southwest part of Heishan County, which is directly under the central government of Liaoning Province. There are four management areas and Xinli Branch, namely qingduizi, Wujia, gaoshanzi and Liujia.
In March 1961, qingduizi animal husbandry farm was put under the jurisdiction of Beizhen county. In August of the same year, the county was reorganized into 15 communes, 4 administrative areas and one farm.
In February 1962, Caotun commune, gaoliban commune and Datun commune were added. In May of the same year, Guangning and Goubangzi towns were added. Then, the four administrative areas of qingduizi, gaoshanzi, Wujia and Liujia were changed into communes respectively, and the new branch was changed into farms directly under the county. So far, the county has 22 communes, 2 towns, 1 farm, under the jurisdiction of 317 brigade, 7 residents committee.
In August 1983, the township system was reformed, and the commune was renamed township. The brigade was renamed the village committee.
In October 1984, seven townships including Zhong'an, Zheng'an, gaoshanzi, qingduizi, Zhaotun, Luyang and changxingdian were renamed towns.
In 1985, Xinli farm was renamed Xiang. The villagers' committee has also made some adjustments.
