Jinping Miao Yao Dai Autonomous County Jinping Miao Yao Dai Autonomous County is an Autonomous County under the jurisdiction of Honghe Hani Yi Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province of the people's Republic of China, located in the south of Honghe Hani Yi Autonomous Prefecture. It is adjacent to Luchun County in the west, Yuanyang County in the north, Gejiu City and Mengzi city across the Red River, Hekou Yao Autonomous County across the Red River in the East, Laojie province and Laizhou Province in Vietnam in the south. The county is 7.5km away from the border. It has three border people's trading points: Jinshuihe national first-class port and Shili village hot water pond, ma'andi northwest and Jinshuihe river boundary.
Jinping Miao, Yao and Dai Autonomous County covers an area of 3677 square kilometers, with a population of 356200 in 2010. Historical evolution
Before 111 B.C., Jinping County is now a territory of the ancient Dai nation "mengdaguang" (Chinese translation of "Ailao state").
In 111 B.C., Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty "made Pingnan Yike county" and extended his influence to mengdaguang (Ailao state) and established xisui county. Today, Jinping County belongs to xisui county.
In 225 ad, xisui county was designated as Xinggu County by the Shu Han Dynasty, and now Jinping County belongs to xisui county.
In 420 ad, the Eastern Jin Dynasty perished, and then the Song Dynasty (Southern Dynasty), Qi Dynasty (Southern Dynasty), Liang Dynasty (Southern Dynasty) and other Chinese inland dynasties gradually withdrew from the Yunnan Plateau. After Chen Dynasty (Southern Dynasty) replaced Liang Dynasty (Southern Dynasty), the Chinese inland Dynasties completely abandoned the Yunnan Plateau; now Jinping County has become an autonomous territory of Dai nationality.

In the sixth year of the Republic of China (1917), Jinhe administrative region was set up to govern Dao, Wang and Li chieftains; Mengding administrative region was set up to govern Mengding Zhang chieftain, which belongs to Mengzi road. In 1929, the road was abandoned, and Jinhe and Mengding administrative regions were directly under the province. In 1932, it was changed into Jinhe Administration Bureau and Pinghe Administration Bureau. On September 1, 1934 (approved in July 1936), the two administrative bureaus were merged to establish Jinping County, which was named after the first word of each. The county government was located in Jinhe. In 1942, it was the third administrative supervision district (in Jianshui County). In 1948, it was the fifth administrative supervision district (in Jianshui County).
In 1950, it belonged to Mengzi district. In January 1954, Honghe Hani Autonomous Region (prefecture level) was established, and Jinping County was divided into Honghe Hani Autonomous Region. On November 18, 1957, Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture was officially established, and Jinping County was included in Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture. On June 11, 1985, Jinping County was abolished and Jinping Miao Yao Dai Autonomous County was established; on December 7, the Autonomous County was officially established.
