Nileke County Nileke, Department of Mongolian, meaning "baby.". Nileke county is located in the northwest of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of the people's Republic of China, bordering Yining County in the west, Gongliu County across the river in the southwest, Xinyuan County in the southeast, Hejing County in the East and Jinghe County in the north. The county extends from east to West in a long strip like willow leaf shape, with a total area of 10053 square kilometers. The county governs 1 town and 10 townships (including 1 ethnic township). The northern part of the territory is kegurqin mountain, bolekonou mountain and yilianhabiga mountain, and the southern part is abrel mountain with four mountains and one valley. It is high in the East and low in the west, high in the north and low in the south, and tilts from northeast to southwest.
By the end of 2015, nilek county had jurisdiction over 10 townships, 1 town and 2 farms, with a total of 189763 people, composed of 32 ethnic groups, including Han, ha, Wei, Hui and Meng. In October 2018, the people's Government of Xinjiang Autonomous Region agreed to withdraw Nileke county from poverty-stricken counties. On July 29, 2020, it will be included in the National Health township (county) naming list of 2017-2019 cycle.
The tourism resources of Nileke county can be divided into five categories and 17 basic types, including geographical landscape, water scenery, biological landscape, historic sites and buildings, leisure and knowledge seeking and fitness. Historical evolution
Nilek county is a multi-ethnic area. Ancient Serbs, dayueshi, Wusun, Huns and Turks all lived and multiplied here. From Han Dynasty to Jin Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of Wusun state. in the northern and Southern Dynasties, it was the land of Yueban. in the Sui Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of the Western Turkic shihana state. in the Tang Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of the capital of Kunling and the capital of Beiting. In the great Liao Dynasty, it was the Khitan Prefecture; in the Western Liao Dynasty, it was the land of the black Khanate. in the Yuan Dynasty, it belonged to Chagatai Khanate under the jurisdiction of daluhuachi. in Ming Dynasty, it was a nomadic land of Tatar Wasi under the jurisdiction of Bishi Bali. In the early Qing Dynasty, Nileke area was occupied by Zhungeer. In 1759, after the Qing government calmed down the chaos in Junggar, Xiaohe and zhuomu, the western region was renamed Xinjiang by the Qing government, and Nileke area was under the jurisdiction of the Qing government. In 1885, the government of Xinjiang Province decided to establish Ningyuan County, which governs today's Nileke area. in 1932, Gongliu county was established from Yining County and governed Nileke area. In February 1938, the gongha region separated from Gongliu county and established the gongha Administrative Bureau, which was under the jurisdiction of the Ili government office. In June of 1939, gongha county was changed into gongha county. On October 7, 1944, gongha guerrillas captured gongha County, changed gongha County into Nileke County, and established Nileke headquarters and temporary government of Nileke county. In January 1945, nilek county government was formally established under the jurisdiction of the "Three District revolution" government. In September 1949, after the liberation of Xinjiang, Nileke county was renamed gongha county. At the same time, gongha County People's Liberation Army Committee and gongha county government were established. In March 1951, gongha county government was changed to gongha County People's government. In July 1951, the CPC gongha County Committee was established. In April 1954, gongha county was renamed Ni lik County, and later it was standardized as nilek county. From March 1955 to September 1975, nilek county was under the leadership of the Ili District Committee of the Communist Party of China. In September 1975, Yili District was restored and rebuilt, and Nileke county was under the leadership of Yili District. In June 1979, nilek county was under the leadership of Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture. In January 1985, Nileke county was under the leadership of Yili region due to the restoration and reconstruction of Yili region. In March 2001, due to the cancellation of Yili Prefecture, nilek county was directly under the leadership of Yili Kazak Autonomous Prefecture.

There are 30 kinds of mineral resources in nilek County, including coal mine, iron ore, copper mine, lead mine, tungsten mine, zinc mine, ancient gypsum mine, Iceland spar, bauxite shale, limestone, brucite, etc. Coal reserves of 8.2 billion tons, the eastern part of the county is mostly coking coal, the western part is long flame coal, and the central part is power coal. The iron ore mainly includes Xinyuan iron ore, siderite, pyrite, limonite, etc. The Xinyuan type iron ore is mainly hematite and magnetite, which are distributed in the whole abreel mountains. Iron ore is distributed from Tuohai bridge on Kashi River in the west to Nalati in the East, and most of it is in nilek county. Lead ore is mainly distributed in the upper reaches of sarhulesonggou in jirentai ranch. Associated minerals are silver and zinc, and the lead grade is 0.07% - 3%. Gypsum ore is mainly produced in taowukanbulake, with a length of 4.5km from east to west and a width of 1.5km, and a reserve of more than 100000 tons.

The ancient poplar forest in Kashi River Valley wetland is mainly distributed along Kashi River and its tributaries and the floodplain of Heishantou forest protection station on the North Bank of Gongnaisi River, with an altitude of 800-1400m and an area of 14200 hectares. The tree species include Populus densiflora, Salix mandshurica, Fraxinus microphylla, Hippophae rhamnoides, etc. Plain plantation is mainly distributed in the plain agricultural area of 12 townships (towns) on both sides of the road, channel and farmland, barren slope, river beach, etc., covering an area of 12933.3 hectares, with poplar as the main tree species.
