Historical evolution
The predecessor of Aershan city is a town in KEYOUQIAN banner of Xing'an League. On December 5, 1992, with the approval of the people's Government of the autonomous region, Aershan economic development zone was established, which was listed separately in the plan.

Aershan mineral spring is one of the largest functional mineral springs in the world.
