Historical evolution

The predecessor of Aershan city is a town in KEYOUQIAN banner of Xing'an League. On December 5, 1992, with the approval of the people's Government of the autonomous region, Aershan economic development zone was established, which was listed separately in the plan.

In June 1996, the State Council approved the establishment of county-level cities. The administrative region of Aershan town in Horqin Right Wing Front Banner of Xing'an League is the administrative region of Aershan city.

In 1996, the city covered an area of 9600 square kilometers and had a population of 48000, including 5907 Mongolians and 34000 floating people. According to the fifth census in 2000, the total population of Arshan city is 45189, including 18888 in Linhai street, 4107 in Xincheng street, 6541 in Wenquan street, 2399 in yiershi Town, 2164 in Bailang town and 11090 in Wuchagou town.

In 2001, it has jurisdiction over three streets and five towns: Linhai street, Xincheng street, Wenquan street, yiershi Town, Tianchi town, Bailang Town, Wuchagou town and Mingshui town.

In 2006, yiershi town was abolished and merged into Tianchi town; mingshuihe town was abolished and merged into Wuchagou town.

The total population is 49679, including 12159 ethnic minorities, accounting for 24.5% of the total population; the non-agricultural population is 49132, accounting for 98.9% of the total population. Mineral resources

Aershan mineral spring is one of the largest functional mineral springs in the world. According to the volcanic scientific research jointly conducted by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and China University of Geosciences, there are more than 100 cold springs, hot springs, hot springs, high hot springs and other drinking and bathing mineral springs with different temperatures and functions around the Aershan mountain.
