Jingyang District Jingyang district is the main urban area of Deyang City, located in the northeast edge of Chengdu Plain, between 31 ° 05 '- 31 ° 20' n and 104 ° 15 '- 104 ° 33' E. It is adjacent to Zhongjiang County in the East, Mianzhu City and Shifang City in the west, Luojiang District and Anzhou District of Mianyang City in the north, and Guanghan City in the south. As of 2016, Jingyang district has an area of 648 square kilometers and a population of 748000.

Jingyang district has a long history. There are Xiaoquan ancient town, Deyang Confucian temple and other cultural landscape in the area. On February 2, 2019, it was rated as the county-level advanced unit of Chinese medicine by the State Administration of traditional Chinese medicine. In October 2019, it was selected as one of the top 100 science and technology innovation zones in China in 2019.

Historical evolution

Jingyang district is derived from Deyang county and Shizhong District of Deyang City.

In Qin Dynasty, it was under the jurisdiction of Shu Prefecture. County under the county, County Pavilion.

In the sixth year of emperor Gaodi of the Western Han Dynasty (201 BC), Guanghan was divided into Ba and Shu counties. Today, there is an ancient Mianzhu County in Jingyang District, which is located in Huangxu town.

In the Eastern Han Dynasty, Deyang county was divided into Zitong county and located in Xiaoxiba, Jiangyou County, which is the beginning of Deyang's name. Later, it was transferred to longfengchang in Suining, which was abandoned in the Northern Zhou Dynasty.

In the third year of Wude (620 A.D.), Gaozu of Tang Dynasty was divided into Luoxian county (now Guanghan) and Mianzhu County, which was located in Deyang county and belonged to Yizhou. Deyang was officially established as a county. The name of Deyang finally took root here and has not changed. Since then, although the country has changed, the name of the county has changed. From the Tang Dynasty to the early Qing Dynasty, Deyang was a county under the jurisdiction of Hanzhou.

In 1659, Luojiang county was merged into Deyang county. Yongzheng seven years (1729), Deyang county changed to mianzhou Zhili Prefecture, the restoration of Luojiang county.

After 1949, it was under the jurisdiction of Mianyang special region.

In 1959, Luojiang county was abolished and merged into Deyang county.

Deyang City was established in 1983.

In 1984, Deyang county was abolished and Shizhong District was established.

In 1996, Shizhong District was abolished and divided into Jingyang district and Luojiang county.

In 2008, Deyang economic and Technological Development Zone took charge of bajiaojing town and Jingdong sub district office.

On June 8, 2013, the administrative division of Jingyang district was changed into 6 sub district offices, 10 towns and 1 township: the arch bridge, 2 Dadi villages under the jurisdiction of Donghu Township, and 8 community neighborhood committees including Kaijiang, Yuquan, Shiqiao, reservoir, Zhenjiang, dashanmen, Xinma road and Huanghe Road were put under the jurisdiction of Chengbei sub district office. The four villages of Baihe, wumiao, Donghe, Sanyuan and the three communities of duanjiaba, huanglianqiao and Tianhong road under the jurisdiction of Tianyuan Town are under the jurisdiction of Chengnan sub district office. On December 12, 2019, the people's Government of Sichuan Province approved Deyang City to adjust the administrative divisions of some towns and townships in five counties (cities, districts) including Jingyang district (cfzm [2019] No. 15): 1. Donghu Township and Huanghe street were abolished to establish Donghu street; 2. Tianyuan Street was established to abolish Tianyuan Town, Yangjia town and Tianhong street; 3. Xiaogan town and Chengbei street were abolished to establish Xiaogan street.

The terrain of Jingyang is high in the northwest and low in the southeast. Landform can be divided into plain and hilly two types, the west is Mianyuan River and shiting River fan-shaped plain, the ground gradient is 3 ‰, the East is the northern end of Longquan Mountain, the terrain is undulating.

The Pingba area in the west is mainly distributed between the shiting River and the Mianyuan River, covering an area of 384.6 kilometers, accounting for 59.35% of the whole area. It belongs to the Chengdu Plain, with an altitude of 468-561 meters. The area is rich in land, crisscross rivers, good gravity irrigation conditions, dense population and convenient transportation. It is a relatively developed area of industry and agriculture in Jingyang district. The eastern hilly region covers an area of 263.4 km, accounting for 40.65% of the total area of the region. The altitude is 457-764m, and the relative height difference is generally 100-200m. Ma'anshan in Xinzhong town is 764 meters above sea level, which is the highest point in the whole region. Less than 10 kilometers away from Ma'anshan, 3 kilometers below Tongjiang Jinluo bridge, 457 meters above sea level, which is the lowest point in the whole region, with a wide gap of 307 meters.

Jingyang belongs to evergreen broad-leaved forest vegetation zone. Most of the vegetation is natural secondary forest and artificial forest, and the forest coverage rate is 21.80%.

There are Mianyuan River, shiting River and Kaijiang River in Jingyang.

Kaijiang River: it belongs to the Fujiang River system, with a river length of 13.05 km, a rainfall collection area of 68 km, an average annual flow of 20.5 M / s, and an average annual runoff of 646 million M.

Mianyuan River: belongs to Tuojiang River system, originated in the south foot of Jiuding Mountain in Longmen Mountains. The river is 42.23 km long (including 12.02 km in the urban section managed by the urban defense office), the rainfall collection area is 416 km, the average annual flow is 16.3 M / s, and the outbound flow is 23.6 M / s. The larger tributary is qijianian (Shoufeng River), which is a main mountain stream flood drainage channel in the hilly area of Jingyang district. There are many vertical streams, the length of the normal river is 29.0 km, and the rainfall collection area is 132 km.

Shiting River: belonging to the Tuojiang River system, it originates from the southern foot of Jiuding Mountain in Longmen Mountains, with a single bank length of 23.697 km (including 14.846 km of shiting River, 5.46 km of sheshui River and 3.391 km of Mawei River), a rainfall collection area of 164 km, an average annual flow of 21.9 M / s and an outbound flow of 24.8 M / s.

Sheshui River: it is a tributary of shiting river. It originates from Sanxi mountain in Mianzhu. Except for mountainous area, it is plain below. It is mainly responsible for flood discharge of plain water network and flood diversion of Renmin canal. The single bank in the area is 5.46 km long (including 1.442 km for Mianzhu Guanyu). Along the way, there are shangmaobaonian, xiamaobaonian, oujianian and other water intake dams. The rainwater collection area is 53.106 km and the maximum flow is 475 M / s.

Mawei River: it is a tributary of shiting river. It originates from Baiyun Mountain at the junction of Mianzhu Jiulong and Tianchi. The river is 3.391km long and has a rainfall collection area of 16.955km. Along the way, there are hejianian, sow's dam, dunzinian and other water intake dams. The river course has many bends, the flow direction of flood is zigzag, the scouring and silting is large, and the maximum peak flow is 347m / s.

In addition, Dujiangyan people's canal phase IV, V and VII project passes through the area. There are 12 main and branch canals of Renmin canal, 181 douqu canals, 16 dahemin weirs, 145 Quanyan weirs, 2 small (I) reservoirs, 17 small (II) reservoirs, and 6447 small water conservancy facilities.

The climate of Jingyang district is subtropical humid and semi humid.
