Historical evolution
Yunyang County, the first year of Nanwang in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty (314 BC), Qin destroyed Ba state and established Ba County. Ququ county was built in Yunyang area, which was the beginning of the county construction.
In the Eastern Han Dynasty, Emperor Xian belonged to Yongning County in 195, Badong County in 201 and Guling County in 216.

On December 16, 1949, the people's Government of Yunyang County was established, which is subordinate to the Wanxian District Office of the East Sichuan people's administrative office. The county people's government is located in Chengguan Town (now Yunyang town).
On March 29, 1950, Yunyang County was changed from the Commissioner's office of Wanxian District in eastern Sichuan to the administrative inspector's office of Wanxian District in eastern Sichuan.
