Yunlong District Yunlong District, belonging to Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province, is located in the south of Xuzhou. It is named after the beautiful Yunlong mountain.
Yunlong District is the seat of the party, government and military organs of Xuzhou. It covers the old urban area in the West and crosses the new urban area in the East. It has not only the tourism and cultural service center represented by Huaihai Road and Zhongshan Road, but also the administrative and business center represented by Xuzhou New urban area under construction.
Yunlong District has Yunlong mountain, Dalong lake, Qinglong lake, Xi Ma Tai, Li Keran Art Museum, Xuzhou folk custom museum, Xuzhou Museum, Xuzhou Han culture scenic spot, etc.

Evolution of organizational system
Xuzhou has a long history. More than 6000 years ago, the ancestors of Xuzhou lived and worked here.
At the end of the primitive society, Yao granted Pengzu the title of great Pengshi state in the present urban area. Xuzhou was called Pengcheng from the beginning.
During the spring and Autumn period and the Warring States period, Pengcheng belonged to the Song Dynasty and later to Chu. After the unification of Qin Dynasty, Pengcheng county was established.
In the Chu and Han Dynasties, Pengcheng was the capital of Western Chu. Pengcheng county was set up in the Western Han Dynasty, and Pengcheng state and capital were set up in the Eastern Han Dynasty.
During the Three Kingdoms period, Cao Cao moved to Xuzhou, where the governor's Department was located in Pengcheng, which was originally called Xuzhou.
In the Wei, Jin, southern and Northern Dynasties, there was a state of Pengcheng or Xuzhou.
Xuzhou was set up in Sui Dynasty, and Pengcheng county was later changed to govern Pengcheng.
In the early Tang Dynasty, the names of Xuzhou and Pengcheng County exchanged for many times, and in the middle and late Tang Dynasty, Xuzhou was the residence of Jiedushi.
In the Five Dynasties, Xuzhou was set up in each dynasty to govern Pengcheng and lead seven counties.
Xuzhou was set up in song and Yuan Dynasties, and its subordination and jurisdiction changed frequently.
In the early Ming Dynasty, Xuzhou was once the capital of Zhili, and later belonged to Nanjing.
At the beginning of the Qing Dynasty, Xuzhou became Jiangnan province and Zhili Prefecture of Jiangsu Province. At the end of Yongzheng Dynasty, it was promoted to Xuzhou Prefecture, with jurisdiction over one Prefecture and seven counties.
At the beginning of the Republic of China, the government of Xuzhou was abolished and attached to guotongshan county. Later, xuhaidao was set up to govern Tongshan (Xuzhou).
During the period of the Japanese puppet regime, Xuzhou was set up in Tongshan County, which was once the capital of the puppet Huaihai province. Yunlong District was founded in 1938, known as the third district of Xuzhou City.
After the founding of the people's Republic of China, the third district of Xuzhou City was renamed Yunlong District in 1952.
In 1968, Yunlong District was renamed Hongwei District. It was renamed Yunlong District in 1975.

With a total area of 118 square kilometers, Yunlong District has 8 sub district offices, 54 communities and 18 administrative villages, with a total population of about 380000, including Pengcheng, Zifang, Huangshan, Luotuoshan, daguozhuang, cuipingshan, dalonghu and pantang.
On April 2, 2000, Xuzhou Municipal People's Government approved the cancellation of the establishment of a sub district office in Shizishan Township, Yunlong District
(1) Shizishan township was abolished, dianzi village under the former jurisdiction of Shizishan township was reorganized into Xindianzi sub district office, and Bashan neighborhood committee under the former Huangshan sub district office was assigned to Xindianzi sub district office.
(2) Cuipingshan sub district office will be set up in three village committees, namely, qiaojiahu village, Changshan village and tushansi village.
(3) The three village committees of shanghetou village, xiahetou village and Lizhuang village under the original jurisdiction of Shizishan Township were organized into daguozhuang sub district office. In 2004, according to the spirit of "Jiangsu provincial government's reply on approving Quanzhan pantang sub district office to be under the jurisdiction of Yunlong District" (suzhengfu No. 55), Xuzhou municipal government agreed to transfer Quanzhan pantang sub District Office (actually managed by Chengnan Development Zone of Xuzhou) to Yunlong District. After the adjustment of administrative divisions, Yunlong District has an administrative area of 118 square kilometers, a population of 284000, and 12 sub district offices.
In January 2005, Xuzhou Municipal Government approved the adjustment of Yunlong District sub district office
(1) The two sub district offices of Pengcheng and Xinsheng were merged into Pengcheng sub district office.
(2) The two sub district offices of Zifang and Tongshan were merged into Zifang sub district office.
(3) Huangshan and Xindianzi sub district offices will be merged into Huangshan sub district office.
(4) The regional scope of the original food city is divided into daguozhuang sub district office.
(5) The name and regional scope of youth, overpass, Luotuoshan, cuipingshan and pantang sub district offices remain unchanged.
In April 2006, according to the superior documents, Yunlong District merged the youth sub district office and Pengcheng sub district office, which was called Pengcheng sub district office; Tianqiao sub district office and Zifang sub district office were merged, which was called Zifang sub district office.
In March 2008, according to the reply of the municipal government on agreeing to adjust the organizational structure of the sub district office of Yunlong District (Xu Zhengfu [2007] No. 27), Yunlong District adjusted the administrative division of the former pantang sub district office
1. The original 13 administrative villages of pantang sub district office were reorganized and set up dalonghu sub district office.
2. The adjusted pantang sub district office has jurisdiction over five administrative villages.

Huangshan Street (in the east of Xuzhou hydraulic parts factory): covering an area of 8.4 square kilometers, with a population of 29728. It has jurisdiction over nine neighborhood committees (Min'an, min'jian, Meiyuan, Yuyuan, huangshanlong, Minqiang, Dianzi, Bashan and Institute of Technology).
Cuipingshan Street (No. 124, Qingnian East Road): it covers an area of 0.96 square kilometers and has a population of 22254.
