This new kind of stone has become the most popular and valuable ornamental stone in China today. In October 2007, it won the title of "hometown of ornamental stones in China".

In March 2019, it will be listed in the first batch of counties for the protection and utilization of revolutionary cultural relics. On November 20, 2020, the people's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region approved to withdraw from the poverty-stricken counties.

In Dahua County, two national large-scale hydropower stations with a total installed capacity of 1.776 million kilowatts have been built. Yantan Hydropower Station is the fifth stage of Hongshui River cascade development. It is the first large-scale hydropower station with a capacity of over one million kilowatts in Guangxi. The main structures of the project are composed of barrage, powerhouse behind the dam, switch station and vertical ship lift. With a total crest length of 525 meters and a maximum dam height of 110 meters, the dam is the first RCC high dam with a dam height of more than 100 meters in China; four diversion penstocks with a diameter of 10.8 meters are buried in the dam, which is the first largest diameter steel pipe of hydropower station in China; the navigation structure is a 250 ton vertical ship lift with a maximum lifting height of 69.5 meters.
