Historical evolution
Xianghe County has a long history. According to the discovery of stone axes in sunxiaoying Village kiln site, it is proved that there were human beings living in the Neolithic age. Before the Shang Dynasty, there was no written record.
After the destruction of Shang Dynasty in the Western Zhou Dynasty, Zhao Gong was granted to Yan (Duji, now Beijing). Xianghe County belongs to the state of Yan.

Later, the residents gathered and gradually became Jingsi, so Xianghe County was set up in some areas of Wuqing, Fuxian and Sanhe. Song Xuanhe four years (1122), Jin conquered Liao Nanjing (now Beijing), Xianghe belongs to Jin.
