Jiahe County is a county under the jurisdiction of Chenzhou City, Hunan Province. It is located in the southwest of Chenzhou City, adjacent to Guangdong and Hong Kong in the South and Yonggui in the West. In 2015, Jiahe County had jurisdiction over one township and nine towns after the township division adjustment.
Jiahe County has successively won the honorary titles of "national sports advanced county", "national health county", "China foundry industry cluster pilot county", "Hunan foundry industry base", "Hunan garden type county" and "hometown of folk songs". In 2018, the national health county (township) was reconfirmed.

Evolution of organizational system

Ming belongs to Guiyang, Linwu county. Chongzhen 12 years (1639) began to set up Jiahe County, county set up hecang fort. In 1643, Zhang Xianzhong occupied Changsha and Hengzhou, and his subordinates Hu Shangyue, Hu Shenghua and Zhu Yidian settled in Guiyang, Linwu and Lanshan. Jiahe was occupied by the rest of Liu Xinyu's uprising army.
In 1647, the fourth year of the reign of emperor Shunzhi of the Qing Dynasty, shangkexi, the king of Pingnan, occupied Guiyang, Xianzhong led the transfer of troops, and Jiahe entered the territory of the Qing Dynasty. The next year, the Yongming king of the Southern Ming Dynasty attacked Jiahe. Shunzhi nine years, Ming soldiers lost, Jiahe return to the Qing Dynasty, belongs to Hengzhou. In 1732, Jiahe belonged to Zhili Prefecture of Guiyang.
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), the prefectural system was abolished, and Jiahe was directly under the jurisdiction of Hengyong Chengui Road, Hunan Province. In 1939, it was the eighth administrative supervision district of Hunan Province. In 1941, ten administrative supervision districts were set up in Hunan Province. The eighth district was changed to the third district, which belonged to Jiahe.
After the founding of the people's Republic of China, Jiahe was subordinate to Chen county. CHENXIAN district was renamed Chenzhou District in November 1950; it was merged into Xiangnan Administrative Region in November 1952; CHENXIAN district was restored in July 1954; Chenzhou district was renamed in 1960; Chenzhou District of Hunan Province was renamed in March 1979; Chenzhou City of Hunan Province was renamed in 1995, and its subordinate relationship remained unchanged.
After the establishment of the county, the county has changed. According to the records of the territory table of Hunan Chronicles (the 23rd edition of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty), the county territory extends to Xintian in Taoling in the north, xinmashi in Guiyang in Puman in the northeast, dawangshan in SHETANG in the East, wuluanyi Township in Xingcun market in the southeast, Tangcun market in Daling in the south, maliaopu in Lanshan in gougongpu in the southwest, Taishen temple in Lanshan in Jinping in the west, and Ningyuan in yangliupu in the northwest.

After the founding of the people's Republic of China, in March 1950, the original Lequan township was assigned to Linwu county. In 2008, Jiahe County governs 8 towns and 9 townships: Chengguan Town, Chetou Town, Tangcun Town, Yuanjia Town, Xinglang Town, Xiaojia Town, Longtan Town, Shiqiao Town, Pantou Town, Puman Town, Tianxin Town, Tanping Town, Guangfa Town, Lianhe Town, Panjiang Town, Zhongshui town and Shilang Town, with 31 neighborhood committees and 224 administrative villages. The county government is located in Chengguan town.

In April 2012, the Provincial Department of Civil Affairs (xiangminxingfa No. 9) approved the adjustment of township administrative divisions in Jiahe County as follows: 1. Chengguan Town, Zhongshui Town, Shiyang town and Lianhe town will be merged into an organic system to establish Zhuquan town. Zhuquan town has 38 villages and 9 neighborhood committees with a total area of 131.56 square kilometers and a total population of 101800. The people's Government of Zhuquan town is located in Renmin North Road (the former Chengguan people's Government). 2、 The Pantou Township and Yuanjia town were merged into an organic system to establish Yuanjia town. Yuanjia town has 24 villages and 4 neighborhood committees, with a total area of 52.41 square kilometers and a total population of 31800. In 2013, the Provincial Department of Civil Affairs (xiangminxingfa No. 13) approved the establishment of towns in Tianxin Township, Tanping Township and Guangfa township.
In 2015, according to the township division adjustment plan of Jiahe County, Jiahe County reduced three township level organizational systems, and Tianxin town and Tanping town merged to establish Tanping town. Panjiang Township, Chetou Town, Xiaojia town and Zhuquan town were abolished, Zhuquan town and Jinping Town were established, and some administrative areas of Puman Township and Xinglang town were adjusted.
