Huarong County Huarong County, subordinate to Yueyang City, Hunan Province, is located in the northern border of Hunan Province, the western border of Yueyang City, north of the Yangtze River, and Hubei Province, south of Dongting. The rainfall collection area is 1606 square kilometers, accounting for 0.76% of the whole province. Among them, plain area is 1028 square kilometers (excluding rivers, lakes, rivers, reservoirs, etc.), accounting for 56%; low hilly area is 328.2 square kilometers, accounting for 17.8%; water surface is 255 square kilometers, accounting for 26.2%.
In 2017, Huarong County governs 12 towns including sanfengsi, Wanyu, beijinggang, Zhanghua, zhihedu, Yushan, zhuzikou, CaoJun, Meitianhu, Chaqi, nianyuxu and Dongshan, 2 townships including tuanzhou and Xinhe, and 3 districts including Tianjiahu ecological new area, industrial park management area and Xiaoji flood management area.
In March 2020, it won the title of national advanced county of village cleaning action, and was praised by the central agricultural office and the Ministry of agriculture and rural areas. On January 29, 2021, it was selected into the list of areas with remarkable achievements in real work in 2020 announced by Hunan Provincial People's government.
Evolution of organizational system
In the spring and Autumn period, it was the state of Chu, and in the Warring States period, it was in the middle of Chu and Guizhou.
In the thirtieth year of emperor Zhaoxiang of Qin Dynasty (277 BC), Qianzhong county was set up, and the county was located in Qianzhong County of Qin Dynasty.
In the sixth year of emperor Gaodi of the Western Han Dynasty (201 BC), Qianzhong county was changed into Wuling County, and the county was under the jurisdiction of Fuling county. In the first year of Xinmang's founding (9), Wuling county was changed into Jianping County, and Fuling County into Fuling County, and the county was then subordinate to Fulu County of Jianping County. During the Jianwu period of the Eastern Han Dynasty (25-56), the county still belongs to Fuling County, Wuling county.
During the period of the Three Kingdoms, Wu general LV Meng was moved to Gongan city in 219, the 24th year of Jian'an. Fuling county was changed to Nanjun County, and the county was located in Fuling County of Wunan county.
In the first year of Taikang in the Western Jin Dynasty (280), Du planned Jingzhou, changed the southern part of Nanjun into Nanping County, and divided it into Fuling county and Nanan county (see shuijingzhu and geographer of the old Tang Dynasty, and then called fenjiang'anli) which belonged to Nanping County, which was the beginning of Huarong County. In the Eastern Jin Dynasty, it was still a county of Nanping County.
In 422, Nanan county was changed into Annam County, which was subordinate to Nanping internal history. Qi inherited the system of Song Dynasty and was still named Annan, belonging to Nanping County. In the second year of Tianjian reign of Emperor Wu of Liang Dynasty (503), Nanan county was established. Soon after that, Nanping County was abolished and still belonged to Annam county. During the reign of emperor Liang Jingdi (555-557), Nan'an, Hunan and Hubei were established, adjacent to Annan and Shishou, Hubei. Nan'an, Hunan and Hubei were abandoned in the Southern Dynasties, and Nan'an county still belonged to Nanping County (see Sui Shu? Geography annals and Eastern Jin, southern and Northern Dynasties).
In the early Sui Dynasty, Chen's name was used. In 598 of kaihuang's 18th year, Nanan county was changed to Huarong County and transferred to baling county. At the beginning of Yangdi's Daye, baling county was renamed Luozhou, and the county belonged to Luozhou. In the third year of Daye (607), Luozhou was abandoned as a county and changed to baling county. Huarong County was restored to baling county.
In the second year of chuigong (686), Huarong County was changed to Rongcheng county. In the second year of Zhongzong Shenlong (706), Huarong County was renamed. In the fourth year of Wude (621), baling county was abolished and Bazhou was established. In the sixth year of Wude, Bazhou was changed to Yuezhou. In the first year of Tianbao (742), Yuezhou was changed to baling county. In the first year of Yuan Dynasty (758), Yuezhou was renamed. Huarong is a county of its own. During the Five Dynasties, Huarong County belonged to Yuezhou.
In the first year of Qiande of Song Dynasty (963), Yuezhou belonged to Song Dynasty and was called baling County of Yuezhou. In the first year of Xuanhe (1119), Yuezhou was the army of Yueyang. In the 25th year of Shaoxing (1155), Yuezhou was changed into chunzhou, and Yueyang army was Huarong army. In 1161, Shaoxing changed chunzhou into Yuezhou. Here, Huarong County is under its jurisdiction.
In the 14th year of Yuan Dynasty (1277), Yuezhou was changed into the office of the general manager of Yuezhou Road, and Huarong County belonged to Yuezhou road.
In 1369, the second year of Hongwu (1369), Emperor Taizu of the Ming Dynasty, he set up Huguang political envoy department and changed Yuezhou road to Yuezhou mansion, which belongs to Huarong County.
In the third year of Kangxi reign of Qing Dynasty (1664), there was a department of Chengxuan political envoys in Hunan Province. The county belongs to Yuezhou Prefecture of yuechangli Road, the Department of Chengxuan political envoys in Hunan Province.
In 1913, Huarong County was under the jurisdiction of yuechangli road in Hunan Province. In 1913, the county was abolished, and the name of yuechangli road was changed to Wuling road. Five years later, Wuling road was abolished and Huarong was put under Xiangjiang Road. 11 years, abandoned Road, county Zhili Hunan Province. In 2006, nine administrative inspectors were set up in the province, and Huarong was the second inspection district. In April 29, the province was divided into 10 administrative supervision districts, and Huarong was the fourth district.
In August 1949, Hunan Province was peacefully liberated, and there were 10 public offices (special areas) in Hunan Province, and Huarong was assigned to Changde special area. In December 1962, the public office of Yiyang commissioner was restored, and Huarong was changed to Yiyang district. On March 16, 1996, the State Council approved (guohan No. 16): the three towns of Huarong County, namely, Cengshan, zhenxingbao and yinhuai, were put under the jurisdiction of Junshan District of Yueyang City. With an area of 1767 square kilometers and a population of about 780000, the county governs 12 towns and 11 townships: Chengguan Town, sanfengsi Town, beijinggang Town, Chaqi Town, Wanyu Town, songjiazui Town, zhihedu Town, zhuzikou Town, Hongshantou Town, Meitianhu Town, tashiyi Town, nianyuxu Town, Dongshan Township, tuanzhou Township, Hucheng Town, Zhongnan Township, Xingfu Township, Nanshan Township, Shengfeng Township, Jiji Township, Xinhe Township and Xinfeng township Build a village and operate a military village. Qianlianghu farm is under the jurisdiction of the city. The county government is located in Chengguan town.

In 2000, Dongshan Township was removed from township to town. In 2001, the county government moved from the south of Laoxi street in Chengguan town to Ma'anshan in Chengguan town. In 2002, Jiji township was abolished.
At the end of 2002, the total population of Huarong County was 714785, including 208200 urban residents. It has jurisdiction over 14 towns including sanfengsi, Wanyu, beijinggang, songjiazui, Chengguan, zhihedu, zhuzikou, CaoJun, tashiyi, Hongshantou, Meitianhu, Chaqi, nianyuxu and Dongshan, 8 townships including tuanzhou, Hucheng, Zhongnan, Xingfu, Nanshan, Shengfeng, Xinhe and Xinjian, and 2 districts.

Huarong County is located in the northern border of Hunan Province and the west of Yueyang City. Geology and geomorphology
Huarong, located on the Jiangnan axis of the Yangtze Huaihe platform, belongs to the Jiangnan ancient land with strong compression, folding and ascending movement as well as ascending and descending movement. The county is located in the northern margin of Dongting lake depression basin. The terrain is high in the north and low in the south. The central part of the county is hilly and uplifted, low in East and West, flat and open, and slightly inclined to Dongting Lake in the East. The characteristics of geomorphic division are obvious: the northeast is low mountains and hills, with valley plain in between, the south central is hilly area, and the rest is plain. The average altitude is more than 35 meters, the highest point (Lei Da Yan) is 382.9 meters, and the lowest point is the bottom of Donghu Lake (altitude) is 21 meters, with an altitude difference of 361.9 meters. The whole county can be divided into plain and mountainous areas according to the landform types. The soil of the whole county was divided into four soil types, among which paddy soil accounted for 69.38%, fluvo aquic soil 12.86%, red soil 16.3% and vegetable garden soil 1.46%. Paddy soils are characterized by well-developed layers, good development, good tillage, water conservation and fertility, and effective nutrient contents.
