Qixia City, belonging to Yantai City, Shandong Province, is located in the hinterland of Jiaodong Peninsula, Shandong Province. It is adjacent to Muping District and Haiyang City in the East, Zhaoyuan City and Longkou City in the west, Laiyang City in the South and Fushan District and Penglai City in the north. The origin of place names
Qixia county was set up in 1131, the second year of Fuchang in the Jin Dynasty, to analyze the yangtuan of Penglai and a part of Laiyang. It got its name because of "Danxia flowing in the morning, shining on the city".
History of construction
According to the research on the cultural relics unearthed in yangjiaquan, there were human beings living in Qixia as far as 6000 years ago.
Before the spring and Autumn period, the county belonged to Muzi.
During the Warring States period, it was Donglai of Qi.
Qin and six countries, divided into 36 counties, the county belongs to Qi County East.
In the Western Han Dynasty, it was located in the county (where the government is located in today's Fushan city), belonging to Donglai county and subordinate to Qingzhou.
At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Nao county was abandoned and changed into Huang County (now Penglai City), Donglai county and Qingzhou.
During the Three Kingdoms period, Qixia was located in Huangxian County, Donglai County, Qingzhou, Wei state.
In the northern and Southern Dynasties, it belonged to the state of song (Liu), and later to the state of Northern Wei.
In the Sui Dynasty, it was restored to Huangxian County, belonging to Donglai county and subordinate to Qingzhou.
In Tang Dynasty, the State Department was abandoned and the road was set up. Penglai county was set up in the third year of Shenlong (707). Qixia was yangtuan town of Penglai County, belonging to Dongmu County of Dengzhou, which was under the South Road of the river.
During the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms, it was the same as in the late Tang Dynasty.
In the Song Dynasty, Qixia was changed into a road. It belonged to yangtuan town of Penglai County, and belonged to Dengzhou, Jingdong East Road (Dengzhou governed Penglai, Wendeng, Huangxian and Muping counties at that time).
In the first year of Shaoxing and the seventh year of jintianhui in the Southern Song Dynasty, Qixia county was established in the second year of liuyufuchang in the puppet Qi Dynasty, belonging to Dengzhou and Shandong east road.
In the Yuan Dynasty, the road was changed to Dao, and Qixia belonged to Dengzhou, the general manager of East-West Road and Banyang road in Shandong Province (Dengzhou governed Penglai, Huangxian, Fushan and Qixia counties at that time), then Zilai Road, and then Banyang road in the 24th year of the Yuan Dynasty (1287).
In Ming Dynasty, outside the capital, it was divided into thirteen buzhengsi, which was changed from Dongxi road to Shandong buzhengsi. Qixia belonged to Dengzhou and was subordinate to Shandong buzhengsi. In the first year of Hongwu (1368), Xu Da and other lower Yi capitals appeased Dengzhou and Laizhou, abandoned Banyang road and set up Laizhou prefecture to govern Dengzhou. Hongwu nine years (1376) ascended to the prefecture, under the Shandong buzhengshi department, Qixia belongs to Yan.
In the Qing Dynasty, Qixia belonged to Dengzhou Prefecture, which was subordinate to Shandong provincial government (at that time, Dengzhou Prefecture led ninghaizhou and nine counties of Penglai, Huangxian, Fushan, Qixia, Zhaoyuan, Laiyang, Wendeng, Rongcheng and Haiyang).
In the first year of the Republic of China (1912), the government was abandoned as the road, which was originally Jiaodong road. In 1925, Jiaodong road was changed to Hokkaido. In 1928, daozhili was abolished in Shandong Province. From 1934 to 1936, it was subordinate to Ludong District of Shandong Province; from 1937 to 1938, it was subordinate to the seventh administrative region of Shandong Province; after the Japanese invasion in 1939, it was subordinate to the ninth administrative region of Shandong Province, and its office of inspector was located in Qixia county.
From August 1950 to October 1958, Qixia belonged to Laiyang Commissioner's office of Shandong Province. From November 1958 to October 1983, it successively belonged to Yantai special region and Yantai area of Shandong Province. Since November 1983, it has been under the jurisdiction of Yantai city. On November 30, 1995, after the county was removed to establish a city, it was under the management of Yantai city.
In August 1958, Qixia county had jurisdiction over 17 townships. On this basis, 17 people's communes were established in September 1958. From February 1959 to April 1962, Guandao commune was merged into Guanli commune, so the administrative division for three years was 16 people's communes.
After April 1962, Guandao was separated from Guanli, and Daliujia commune was added, so it was fixed as 18 people's communes for more than 20 years.
In March 1984, the people's commune system was changed into a township system. At the same time, some districts were adjusted to set up 8 towns and 15 townships.
On November 30, 1995, with the approval of the Ministry of civil affairs, Qixia county was abolished and Qixia City (county-level city) was established.

In August 2007, zoujia village, nanjiaomaozhai village and beijiaomaozhai village in Xicheng town were put under the jurisdiction of Songshan street. By the end of 2007, the city had jurisdiction over 12 towns and 3 streets.
On September 1, 2020, Zang Jiazhuang town will be assigned to Fushan District of Yantai city.
